Meet Zane, formerly known as Pepper. Zane was one of our pups 3 years ago, and his adoptive family named him Zane. Unfortunately after 3 years he was surrendered back to us due to no fault of his own! Zane was beyond scared upon entering the shelter. he was confused and frightened, but despite everything, he remains such a sweet and gentle boy staying true to his nature. He is potty trained and gets along with other dogs. He enjoys being outside and has done well with all of our volunteers, always happy to go for walks to burn some energy or hanging out in the office to spend some time napping! On March 29th of this year 2024, our beautiful Lumina gave birth to 12 puppies and raised everyone of them to a place that they are now seeking adoptions. Every0ne of these precious babies survived because of the great love and mothering skills of this Mountain Cur mix girl. We call her Lumina because she illuminates the world with her kind spirit and sweetness. When you look into her eyes you see a connection of love and hope. Lumina was a stray and discovered by a woman in Tennessee right at the time that she was almost ready to give birth. Lumina has a calm spirit and someone will be so lucky to have her as their very own. She has some anxiety about being left alone but with time she will come to understand that she will not be abandoned by new family. She is housebroken pretty much and easy going and goes with the flow within a family’s lifestyle rhythm. She is loving, adaptable, gorgeous and kind. Gets along with all other creatures and loves the 4 year old toddler in the family. A busy little boy who she loves to see. Razzle Taz has the most beautiful coal black eyes that pierce your soul as he stares at you begging for some love and attention. This boy was taken from an abusive family who were bragging to co-workers about kicking and tying him up. The co-worker contacted Critter Cavalry and we found a wonderful foster family that is spending time getting to know Razzle Taz and what his emotional and physical needs will be in life. This boy is 6 months old and weighs 32 pounds. He is slim and sleek and has the energy of 3 puppies. This boy is so smart and curious and he needs mentally fun challenges daily and some real walking and exercise time in a fenced backyard or on the road running with an active person. This boy is very smart and would benefit from games, flyball, agility classes, just thinking activities paired with exercise. He is friendly with everyone and good with cats, dogs, children and ready to take on learning all he can about the world. This beautiful girl will knock your socks off if you run into her on the street. Never have we seen a dog with such beautiful brindle coloring and gorgeous blue eyes. Beautifully Bailey is all we can say when we think of her. She was found last Thanksgiving 2023 abandoned at a gas station out in the Midwest. Her Foster mom was traveling and she took Bailey in to give her a second chance at life since she knew a gas station could mean the end of her life. She cannot be a long-term adopted dog at this home. We are helping this kind Samaritan to find Beautifully Baily the right place where she can live out her life with a fenced in yard as a place to release her energy. For goodness sake a girl's gotta run off those calories to keep her girlish figure and mental health at tip top shape. This girl always has a smile and is in the best mood ever she's an all-round great dog she loves to chew on good things so keep plenty of chew toys around so they aren't your pieces of furniture or shoes or socks. Bailey is pretty much house trained but could use a little bit of help and tolerance. Occasionally she has an excited pee when her Foster family comes in to greet her. She is not around her foster family a lot since they are so busy with their schedule and work. This limited attention to her brings out a submissive excitement that has her pee in submission. It can be easily remedied with more attention from a different owner with time for her. We want a family that will walk her. take her to training classes and continue to socialize her with other dogs and people. She's a stupendous creature.
