This joyful girl has some fun energy and would love to join an active family.Puppies 6 months and under are typically $200 and dogs from 7 months to 6 years are typically $100.00. The adoption fee may be higher or lower than stated however, and is dependent on many factors including age, behavior, medical condition and demand. All dogs 7 years and older are free under our Saving Seniors program. We frequently run discount specials and occasionally a dog will be more than the stated fee. Most cats and kittens are $35.00, however there may be instances in which the fee is higher or lower, due to age, behavior, medical condition or demand. Story
Dorian and his siblings were found dumped by a pond by a good Samaritan. He is currently 7 weeks old (as of August 1) and will be ready to go home at the end of August/early September. We are currently accepting applications so that Dorian can be pre-adopted and ready to go home once he is neutered.Dorian will most likely be around 50lbs when full grown. Dorian and loves to rough house and play with his siblings, Chaol, Rowan, and Aelin. Their favorite toy is a stuffed octopus! They all love to grab a tentacle and play tug as a group. When they are all tired out, they pile into their bed together for a puppy nap. Dorian embodies the book character he was named after. He is incredibly loyal, level headed, and loves kisses. He’s constantly wanting to lick your face if it’s within his reach! When ready to go to her forever home, Dorian will be neutered, microchipped, dewormed, and up to date on all of his age appropriate vaccines.************************************Dorian is located in a foster home. We are happy to coordinate a meet & greet for pre-approved adopters. To get started, please submit an adoption application at https://bit.ly/USAHOTNADOPT2024Adoption process:Potential adopters complete our online application. Story
We can provide you with reports from our trainer or a direct contact to them to get their opinions on Bear's training, behavior, and potential to become a stellar dog. He is challenging but sweet and needs the right environment to thrive -- more space to run and sniff and bark, and would be great for a single owner. Bear is a pure Plott hunting dog but has grown up inside our residential house with no hunting training since he was 10 weeks old. He growls in situations with new dogs, but once he feels comfortable he is all play and we have been improving quicker socialization with our trainer. He would do best with an experienced dog owner who understands resource guarding behavior. He'll tolerate some pets but doesn't like to be grabbed or hugged. Bear is quick to bark and shows some reactivity to other dogs on leash (improving with consistent training on walks). Bear can be grumpy and growl (intimidating but not mean), but generally, he's a sweet, happy, active guy.
