Razzle Taz has the most beautiful coal black eyes that pierce your soul as he stares at you begging for some love and attention. This boy was taken from an abusive family who were bragging to co-workers about kicking and tying him up. The co-worker contacted Critter Cavalry and we found a wonderful foster family that is spending time loving on him and polishing his dog manners. He is the sweetest boy and so calm and nice when meeting and greeting new people and other dogs. He was born around the end of September in 2023 and so he is growing up fast and in to a fine dog that would love to be your sidekick in life. He is not going to be over 38 pounds and is almost there now. He is a Mountain Cur mix and has a slim and sleek build and has mellowed into a wonderful pre-adult dog. Razzle Tax is super smart and curious and sensitive to your mood and expectations of him. He is a dog that you could 'do' things with. He could do any flyball or agility classes or other training that you would want to put him through. He is a sponge for doing things and pleasing you. He is very small actually and would work well with an active family or person even in an apartment as long as he gets his daily exercise. He needs mentally fun challenges daily and some real walking and exercise time in a fenced backyard or on the road running with an active person. He is friendly with everyone and good with cats, dogs, children and ready to take on learning all he can about the world. On March 29th of this year 2024, our beautiful Lumina gave birth to 12 puppies and raised everyone of them to a place that they are now seeking adoptions. Every0ne of these precious babies survived because of the great love and mothering skills of this Mountain Cur mix girl. We call her Lumina because she illuminates the world with her kind spirit and sweetness. When you look into her eyes you see a connection of love and hope. Lumina was a stray and discovered by a woman in Tennessee right at the time that she was almost ready to give birth. Lumina has a calm spirit and someone will be so lucky to have her as their very own. She has some anxiety about being left alone but with time she will come to understand that she will not be abandoned by new family. She is housebroken pretty much and easy going and goes with the flow within a family’s lifestyle rhythm. She is loving, adaptable, gorgeous and kind. Gets along with all other creatures and loves the 4 year old toddler in the family. A busy little boy who she loves to see. This beautiful girl will knock your socks off if you run into her on the street. Never have we seen a dog with the most beautiful markings and gorgeous blue eyes. Beautifully Bailey is all we can say when we think of her. She was found last Thanksgiving 2023 abandoned at a gas station out in the Midwest her Foster mom was traveling and she took Bailey in to give her a second chance at life since she knew a gas station could mean the end of her life. She cannot be a long-term adopted dog at this home. We are helping this kind Samaritan to find her the proper place where she can live out her life with a fenced in yard and a place to have her great energy releases. This girl always has a smile and is in the best mood ever she's an all-round great dog she loves to chew on good things so keep plenty of chew toys around so they aren't your pieces of furniture or shoes or socks. Bailey is pretty much house trained but could use a little bit of help and tolerance. Occasionally she has an excited pee when her Foster family comes in to greet her. She is not around her foster family a lot since they are so busy with their schedule and work so their attention to her brings out a submissive excitement. We want a family that will walk her. take her to training classes and continue to socialize her with other dogs and people. She's a stupendous creature. Our pretty little girl is called Cora and what a loving and sweet little Pointer mix girl she truly is. She loves playing with other dogs and sleeping in the bed with her foster mom. This little girl was one of 8 puppies left in an outdoor pen and basically abandoned by the former owner when they loved. Neighbors stopped by for 3 months to feed and water the puppies and sadly that was all. They grew and grew and eventually started fighting over the little food they had and the small pen was just so confining. One of the great Critter Cavalry Rescue foster moms heard of their plight and went to get them out of their hot, and confining pen that offered no exercise and not enough food daily…and NO HUMAN LOVE. Now Cora and her siblings are seeking homes where they can spread their wings and bask in the love and care of their new families. Cora is remarkably loving and fun and seems to not have been emotionally stunted by their early months of growing up abandoned. We know that she loves other dogs! She plays with a 45 pound black lab male that is a year old and “Her and Bo are like two peas in a pod”. They absolutely love playing together, tug of war, chasing each other in the yard, or just sleeping in the dog bed together. Cora is good with cats and loves the young children that are in the home, even with all their noise and high energy play. She is almost there with her potty training and she is good with being in the crate at times needed. Cora relates to people and loves them. She always needs to be right by someone and loves to lay on your feet. She has learned not to be possessive of her good or toys as she first started out being. We totally understood the possessiveness and now she is relaxed and eager to share. This pretty girl and her siblings have come such a long way. We are so happy for them to be in out foster care and receiving the love that they so readily deserve. Sometimes in the rescue world our stories about a dog we are presenting for a home just kind of leaves us a little speechless for adequate words. This boy that we call “Good Friend Charlie” is one of those deep and touching stories that we know only God had a hand in making come true as he was rescued. His foster mom Rachel calls him “a dream dog!” But when she stumbled upon him hanging out on her countryside property where she raises chickens and geese and many other dogs that belong to her…she was not so sure of his friendly intentions. We believe Charles was dumped in her area where he roamed for approximately 3 months, many attempting to catch him but failing as he was smart and elusive. He roamed onto foster mom, Rachel’s property and within 2 days came out of survival mode (he would bark and bark at her while she was outside tending to her geese and chickens) and when she offered him a blanket one night as he laid in her flowerbed all curled up in 10 degree weather, he soon came back into domesticated mode the next morning. Because of being abandoned, Good Friend Charlie has some separation anxiety and will need you to be patient while you earn his trust that he won’t be abandoned again and that you will come back for him when you leave. This boy loves all other animals; dogs, cats, geese, chickens and he loves people of all ages. He is only 3 years of age and weighs 50 pounds. We think the grey on his face might be from early stress in his life. Maybe from uncertainty that he has felt in whatever former life he lived. Good Friend Charlie is well-trained and knows how to sit, stay, lay down, off and wait. He even waits for permission to exit the door and waits for you to tell him he can eat his food. He does well on a leash but he prefers to roam on his own and rarely will go more than 4 feet from you. This special dog would be wonderful for someone that does live on some acreage and just wants an indoor and outdoor companion and who is working from home or just retired and kicking back in their life. He loves to ride in the car shotgun style in the passenger seat and he is a homebody’s best friend. Charlie knows exactly what he wants and will alert you with a few barks to let you know he wants to go outside, or his water bowl is empty, or even when he is ready for bedtime and he is house trained. He does have some jealousy if you are giving attention to other animals but he is easily corrected and gets better daily as he learns more about coexisting in this new home environment. He takes to correction like a champ! If you really want to adopt a dog that is the definition of “Man’s Best Friend” then Good Friend Charlie is your dog for a lifetime.
