Story
Hi, my name is Jack and I am a super, duper sweet boy looking for my forever home. I’m a 2 year old Plott Hound mix, around 72 lbs. I am a big fan of the hoomans and other doggos and I would be happy to have a doggo friend to hang and play with. I love being active and I'm super smart - hey we could be hiking buddies. I am a big boy at 72 lbs so probably best I don't go to a home with the really littles, I would hate to knock one over, or even sit on one! Can you find room in your home for me? *All of The Right to Live dogs are fostered locally in San Antonio Texas and will be transported to other states to their new families upon adoption. We believe fostering dogs and not having them decompress in a kennelled environment is more beneficial for the dogs and builds their trust and companionship in a family situation. Adoption fee includes transportation costs, previous/current medical treatment (spay/neuter, etc.) and a health certificate for cross-state travel*

Story
🌟 Meet Bucky- with titanium resilience and an incredible nose 🌟 🌟 Name: Bucky 🎂 Age: 3yrs 2mo 🐶 Breed: Plott Hound 💉 Vaccination Status: Bucky is current on rabies, distemper, leptospirosis, lyme, and bordetella vaccines, as well as Heartworm/Tick, and intestinal parasite screenings until January 2026, ensuring his continued health and well-being. 🏡 Ideal Home: Bucky is seeking a very active home with another confident, energetic dog that likes to play and can show him the ropes. Bucky loves to play with toys and can entertain himself by tossing stuffies around the room! Bucky also loves car rides (sticking his head out the window is the best!), and exploring in the woods (on a long line leash of course because when his snout is working, his ears are not😆) He would enjoy a fenced-in yard or someone who can take him for lots of smells on his long leash. Bucky is a chatty dog-he is vocal when he plays, when he hears his dinner being prepared, and lets you know when he needs some "me time." Bucky would do best with an experienced dog owner who is familiar with dog body language and can patiently work with him, at his pace, as he continues to learn there will always be enough food, treats, and goodies for everyone, furever!! 🐕 Compatibility: gets along with dogs that are equal size or smaller than him, may do fine with larger dogs with proper intro; older (teens) children who can respect his space; cats and chickens are a no with his prey and hunting drive. 👂 Special Needs: Bucky is a tripod and is missing his left front leg due to a brachial-plexus injury that he endured from being hit by a car. ✂️ Grooming: bath and brushing; minimal 🐾 Training: Other than positive reinforcement and desensitization, Bucky would love to continue his basic obedience training (he is a quick learner (especially for treats), learn scent work, blood tracking, or something else to keep his body and mind active, and use his superior snout! He is a scent hound after all. 🧡 Bucky is crate-trained. Bucky has been in our care for over a year and deserves the BEST home! 🏡 He is currently being fostered in Wrightstown, Wi & his adoption fee has been sponsored by Beans 'N Bones, as well as a year worth of free treats!!!
