Story
Oreo is a 1.5 year old short hair mixed breed mutt. She was adopted as a young pup to be an emotional support animal for my step-son. However, he never attached to her. She is loving, but she likes to escape. Nobody in the house has been able to put in any time training her on how to behave. She needs a home where somebody can dedicate time to loving her. She does ok-ish when she does come inside. We have 6 cats and 2 other dogs. She does ok-ish with the cats.

Story
First - the adoption fee will be sent to the Michigan Humane Society to help with all the animals they rescue. I have had this sweet, kiss giving girl for several months now. I got her thru a friend of a friend when her one and only owner passed and the owner's family could not keep the dog. They thought she was about 8 or 9 years old. She was raised with an invisible fencing system. I do not have one. I do not have a fenced in yard. I take her on walks during the day. I am a Senior citizen and I am not steady on my feet and I have poor balance. She has pulled me down once and I am afraid of it happening again. She is so sweet and loves to sit next to you and cuddle. She does not realize her strength. She would do great with a house full of kids or a Senior with a fenced yard. She should be in a cat free household. She loves to play fetch and actually brings the ball back & gives it to you! Please help me find a good home for this sweet girl.

Story
Bruce is a loyal loving dog. He loves to be pet and will let you know it by tapping you to ask you to pet him. He is housebroken and knows how to ring bells when he wants to go out. He requires a home with a fenced in yard. He does not do well with small children. I love my dog and ultimately want the best life for him. I would be happy to let interested adopters try him out and see if he is a good fit their family. I will take him back if it isn't the right fit. I would also be very happy to care for him when his new family goes out of town. I currently live in a condo and the condo environment is not right for my dog.

Story
Macy is 35lbs and 7 years young. She was originally rescued from the natural disaster efforts in Louisiana. She is part of a bonded pair with her adopted brother, Rusty. Rusty was adopted from a shelter when he was 12 weeks old. He’s 30lbs and 10 years young. They recently lost their humans when both unexpectedly passed away within 9 months of each other and a family friend that took them in can no longer care for them. They are the absolute sweetest dogs in need of a furever retirement home together with lots of cuddles, love, and belly scratches! Their favorite pastimes are sunbathing in the summer, looking out the window for hours on end (neighborhood watch duty extraordinaires!) and cuddling/lounging around. They’ve cohabitated with a bunny rabbit (that they took in as their own!), but must be the only dogs in the home. They love love LOVE everyone they meet, including children!
