Story
Maggie is a black lab mix. She’s just turned 10 years old. Her birthday is October 30, 2014. She has always been a sweet, well tempered dog, but as she grew older she’s become anxious and jumpy. We have a very busy house with kids running around. Which causes stress for her. In her later years, we want her to have a home where she can relax and not have the stress of people constantly moving around.

Story
Daisy was in a kill shelter in California. We found her on Instagram. We reached out to dozens of people to pull her from the shelter, since we live in NY and were unable to from out of state. It took a lot to get her, but we did what we could to save her life. With a current dog and 2 year old baby in the house, we can’t give her all the training she needs and care for our current family without putting significant strain on our home. We believe she would do amazing in a home with no current pets or young kids. She is super sweet and loves being pet and affection. She is very smart and responsive to training.

Story
Lucy is a sweet dog who will always want to be by your side. Loves her toys and constantly wants to play. Smartest dog I've ever had, learned sit, down, stay, roll over, paw, high five and speak all within a week. She's friendly with other dogs (just keep food/treats separate) and loves to fetch or go bike riding. She would do best in a home with a fenced yard. I have her DNA test and she's a mixed breed. 9months old

Story
**SEEKING EXPERIENCED ADOPTER FOR OUR BABY BOY WITH FEARFUL ANXIETY AND SENSITIVITY** For the right person, Oliver will make the perfect companion. We are beyond in love with him and have had him for 4 years. This post comes with a very heavy heart. We adopted Oliver in 2020 after he was found abandoned on the streets of Puerto Rico. We do not know what trauma he experienced but it left him with fearful anxiety and a hyper sensitivity to noise, new people, boxes, new environments, etc. With us, Oliver behaves like any other dog. He is playful, cuddly, loves running in our backyard, greenies, and snuggling in your leg nook. With strangers he is very fearful. He will retreat and does not do well with eye contact from new people. He takes repetition to get used to new individuals. Unfortunately, Oliver is not reacting well to our new daughter and is too unpredictable around children. We are seeking a person or couple with no kids who will put the time in to build a relationship with him.

Mamacita's basic bio is below, but we maintain more detailed information about each of our animals on our website, which is also always up to date with animals removed immediately once they are adopted. Please visit Mamacita's page on our site (https://www.muddypawsrescue.org/adoptable?dog=005846) to learn even more about Mamacita! Additionally, please note that the breed listed for Mamacita is just our best guess based on the dog's physical features. We cannot make any guarantees about the accuracy of our guesses. PLEASE NOTE: DUE TO VOLUME, WE ARE GENERALLY UNABLE TO RESPOND TO INQUIRIES MADE USING THE 'ASK ABOUT ME' BUTTON. Please reach out to us directly using the contact information on our website: www.muddypawsrescue.org. Mamacita is a perfect land manatee that reminds everyone that it is OK to not be in a hurry. She loves being out in the world, so much so that she will bark into the air to say "hello world!" as she is walking down the sidewalk. She loves meeting everyone, including people, kids, dogs, cats, and will even walk up to pigeons to find out what they are doing. She has a hop in her step when we are heading out for walks, but will slow down tremendously when it looks like we are headed in the direction of home, and will sometimes stall by making friends with people at outdoor cafés. She is a whole different dog from when we first took her in, and is so very happy all the time. She takes daily medicine for her Cushing's and Addison's, and monthly arthritis medication, so she is thriving. It is a delicate balance between the 2 main conditions, but she takes it all in stride. Mama is still not very interested in wrestling with her foster sister, but she is a pro at unstuffing a stuffy. She might be deaf, or very, very hard of hearing, but that makes life in a chaotic city pretty easy. She knows basic commands given to her visually, and always waits patiently for food and treats, even if others are getting them first. While she is super excited for mealtimes, she will sit and wait until given the ok to dig in. She prefers to be surrounded by people and other pets even if she's just laying down while chaos ensues.
