Story
Ruby is a 7 year old Hound mix who’s original owner has taken ill and can no longer care for her. I have been caring for her for a few weeks as a foster but need to find her a home. She loves to play catch and be outdoors. She will sleep next to you snuggled under a blanket. Lovable and sweet. Even though she is 7 she is still energetic and loves to play. I have updated her rabies shot and started her vaccines.

Story
This is Whiskey, she’s a 1 year old Husky mix. She is an absolute sweetheart that wants to be around her people all the time. She needs an experienced dog owner as she is VERY strong willed. She is absolutely not safe around small animals and cats as she does have a high pray drive. She is hit a miss when it comes to other dogs. She is not resource aggressive with people but other animals might be a different situation. Unfortunately, I have asthma and recently found out that I am allergic to dogs and since having her my breathing has gotten dangerously worse. Whiskey, is a wonderful dog and in the 5 months that she has been with us she has come a long ways. Whiskey is the kind of dog that will go on hikes through the woods and then lay on the couch to watch tv with you. She needs some work with walking on the leash and she absolutely will go nose to the ground a take off if she is not on a lead or in a fenced in yard.

Story
We’ve had our dog since he was a 3 month old puppy. He is now 7. We’ve loved having him as part of our family. He’s a goofy guy and much sweeter then you would think given his size. He loves his walks, playing, laying on the couch and will even cuddle under the blanket with you if you let him. He has a strong pack mentality so once he’s part of your pack your in for life. That’s why it’s so hard to create this post. He has always been scared of kids for some reason. Our son has just turned 2 so he has become very curious with chasing and grabbing our dog. Our dog has never been ok with this. He becomes scared and will growl at times. It has just become more dangerous the older our son gets. We just cannot risk anything happening and are looking for a good home for our family member. A home without any small kids so he can have a great second life.

Story
Athena (now 7) - I rescued from age 2. She came from a very loving home. Raised on a farm. She has been with me ever since. She was very well cared for when I got her. Her previous owner was in the middle of a divorce/older woman - and she lost everything as a result and had no place to relocate Athena and herself together. Athena is about 40lbs. She is Black/White in color and a bit of a mix. She is lab, whippet and pit. Her demeanor is very affectionate and loves people. She is a lap dog for sure and loves attention, not shy about it. She is very well trained and listens. She is great with people of all ages. Kids, teenagers and adults - she adores. She is great with other dogs and socialized in that respect. She loves being outside and a large fenced in yard would work well for her.

Story
Experienced owner needed that can give the time he needs to work on his training. He has spent a good amount of time with trainers and has improved due to that. He currently lives with three kids ages 9-14 and he does well with them but a quieter home with adults or older children would be best for him. He also currently lives with two older dogs and does well with them but he's not great with new animals. He does take time to warm up to new people but he is so sweet with those that he loves and can be a great companion to some one. Please help him have a great life!!
