My family and I adopted Beau from Austin Animal Center 2 years ago. He is a 3 year old mixed breed, resembling a lab, who loves walks, hanging out in the sun, and cuddling on the couch. He had been getting along great with our other dog, a mini-Aussie, before we introduced 2 kittens into the home. Beau had gotten on well with our old cat who passed last year, but the energy of 2 kittens and a 7 year old human in our small house has proven to be too much for him. We want the best for our dog, Beau, and after much careful deliberation have decided to seek out the quiet home that he deserves where he is the main attraction. He is fully housebroken, crate trained, and he knows a few tricks: sit, down, sit up, stand up, spin, shake, and touch (place). He does great with people when he is out and about, and he loves going to the pet store to try out beds and sniff the shelves. He's a good boy who needs a calmer environment to shine.

He has a beautiful coat, loves car rides and needs alot of exercise. He would do great with someone that works from home and loves adventures and walks. Sammy is really a sweet and loving boy that also loves treats and cheese. His ears are his beauty mark in my opinion. He is very intelligent and at times hyper when he wants to play. Sammy needs more attention than I am able to give him currently. I have a new job with traveling and long hours, I see how much it has taken a toll on both of us. It's heartbreaking for me to rehome him, but I know its the best for him. He deserves all the attention, cuddles and love. My dream home for him would be with someone who has space for him to run. He is also crate trained. He hasn't been in a home with children so I am not sure how he would be.

She’s been to positive reinforcement training worth $2K, she’s utd on all her shots, spayed, she’s kennel/leash/car trained, and she’s very sweet and loving. Millie has high energy and gets along well with dogs, people, kids, and babies, but does not do well with cats. She growls if fed near other animals, but has no aggression if fed separately. She’ll make a great family or an active household pet and will be your best friend! She’s afraid of vacuums, but will defend you from anything else! Millie will come with all her bedding, crate, leash, toys, bowls, etc.

Layla is 9 years old. She's a great dog with just the right amount of energy. She knows how to sit, shake, come to you, and drop a toy. She knows to sit before she can be let back into the house. She spends most of her day indoors on her bed, but she loves walks and chasing squirrels in the backyard. We have small children and she's always been great with them. For many years we had a cat. The cat would mostly stay in one room, which Layla knew she wasn't allowed to enter. On the rare occasions that the cat left the room, Layla would come up to her to say hi in a friendly way (never touching or chasing). We hope Layla can find a new home where she can get a few walks a week, a backyard, and a Chewie in the morning. Thanks for considering Layla!

We adopted Ash last November. At that time he was approximately 9 months old. Ash is a very playful dog, who loves cuddles, and is always excited to see you. He does very well with other dogs. We do have a very small Chihuahua and they get along very well. We are looking to rehome Ash as work and our personal life has us traveling greatly since we’ve adopted him. While he does adapt to some changes, with us being gone so frequent he tends to get an upset stomach. While he doesn’t have accidents in the house, he becomes very stressed and anxious. And will have looser stools for a day or two post travel. We would like to find him a home that has a more consistent schedule and an active lifestyle that can give him lots of space to play.

Murphy is 5 year old, 75 lb. Merle Bernedoodle. His birthday is December 17, 2019. I got Murphy from Mckenzie Doodles in Northern Virginia when he was 9 weeks old and he has lived with me in North Carolina, Washington, and Texas. He is a goofy guy that loves belly rubs and lounging around the house. He is well potty trained and can be left at home for up to 9 hours. He typically sleeps in the bed with me and sits on the couch with me as we watch TV. He knows his basic commands like sit, down, paw, and twirl. He is protective of those he is close with and, while he has lived with multiple different dogs, he may not always get along with all dogs. I am moving in with my girlfriend who has a small Cockapoo that Murphy gets along with most of the time but can get in fights with occasionally. I am looking for a home for Murphy with owners that are experienced with larger dogs, have a yard for him to play in, and that can handle Murphy if he reacts to strangers or other dogs.

Bowser is a 7yo (bday July 12) chiweenie who is loving, feisty and active and fun. This has been a really difficult decision for us but we have a new baby and have yet to break Bowser of resource guarding. On top of that I do not feel like we are doing him any justice by simply not having enough time for him with the little one. He has bitten my partner once a year and a half ago and now being a new mom the resource guarding mixed with us not being able to get him on enough walks worries me a bit. And I want him to be loved and cared for as much as he deserves. He’s really a great, loyal and funny and cute dog who deserves a home that will provide him with all the activity and attention. He is also crate trained and very food motivated.
