Paul is a 5 year old great dane mix. he belonged to my aunt. he is a good guard dog and great with kids. Older kids are better because he is clumsey like marmaduke and doesn`t realize he us big.. he gets along with most cats and dogs. But can be cranky sometimes because he has a sore hip or leg. Paul will chase bicycles and cars if he gets loose but as long as there is a fence he doesn`t try to escape. Even though Paul is a large dog he is used to sleeping indoors at night. During the day he is used to being able to in and out when he wantd. He is house trained. Because Paul is great dane he gets cold easier than other dogs and is prone to stomach aches if he`s given people food.. he is not for a first time dog owner and you should research great dane breeds before committing to him. he can be trusted alone at home for extended period of times. He has a limp from an old injury so he doesn`t put a lot of weight on one of his back legs but he still likes to play. he has been fixed and has current shots. he isn`t overly fond of baths but he let`s you do it without a fuss. He is very protective and the only time he ever bite anyone was when a burgler had broken in one time when we were on vacation. We only know this because it was caught on the Alexa camera.The reason I am rehoming Paul is that my family has recently suffered a series of tragic events that ultimately lead to the death of 4 family members within a very short time frame. My family have always loved animals and we each owed several. When someone passes its hard to know what to do with their pets. In my family I have the biggest yard so it made since for me to take them. I made that decision with the first family death I had no idea 3 more deaths and 5 more animals would follow. this has left me caring for 3 big dogs 4 little dogs and 3 cats.
