Story
This dog is in Tennessee. Adoption Donation $200 if picked up in TN, $275 plus transport fee for out-of-state adoptions. Finn is a gentle giant in the making, a 7-month-old St. Bernard mix weighing in at 70 pounds. Though he was a bit shy at first, he's growing more confident every day and has settled into a low to medium energy level. Finn has quickly learned the comforts of home, going from hesitant to come inside, to happily curling up nearby for his naps. Finn is sweet-natured and polite, sitting patiently for his meals and showing excellent manners on a leash. He enjoys playing with other dogs, chasing a Frisbee, and going for leisurely walks but isn’t the type to demand constant activity—he’s more of a “nap on the deck and enjoy the fresh air” kind of guy. Finn gets along well with dogs, is curious but respectful of the resident cat, and has even made peace with the goats after a bit of initial barking. Speaking of barking, Finn has a big, deep voice that he doesn’t use often, but when he does, you’ll know it—so apartment or condo living isn’t a good fit for him. Finn is housetrained and crate trained, though he prefers not to be crated for long periods. He came from a shelter environment, and while he’s adjusting beautifully to home life, he’ll need patience and time to fully settle in with new people and routines. The perfect home for Finn would be a single-family residence with a fenced yard or someone committed to daily walks. Finn is not looking to be an intense exercise partner, but he’ll happily trot alongside for an adventure before settling in for a cozy nap. If you’re looking for a big-hearted, laid-back, and loyal companion, Finn is ready to meet you! Interested in adopting? (All About Rescue and Fixin' Inc.) http://aarf-tn.com/ is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) no kill animal rescue organization located in the Upper Cumberland area of Tennessee. A.A.R.F. is comprised of unpaid volunteers and survives only on public donations. Thank you for thinking adoption first! Prior to adoption, all canines and felines are spayed or neutered, have received their age appropriate vaccinations, have been de-wormed for common parasites, and have received treatment for prevention of fleas and ticks. All canines over the age of 6 months have been tested for heartworm. All canines are put on heartworm prevention as soon as possible - this means dogs as soon as they are tested negative. Puppies are put on prevention immediately. All felines, regardless of age, have been tested for Feline Leukemia/FIV. Each animal receives a health check by a licensed veterinarian prior to adoption. Anything else found will be treated by our organization prior to adoption. March 25, 2025, 4:44 pm
