Story
Meet Max! He’s a lovable giant—a Great Pyrenees German shepherd mix. He’s 2 years old and about 65 pounds. He’s friendly and loving. This big boy has boundless energy and a cheerful personality that will bring joy to any home. He’s house trained and absolutely adores people, especially kids. He was surrendered to us because his previous owner didn’t have a fence and the neighbors were threatening to shoot him.Max is a social butterfly who loves hanging out with other dogs—as long as they mind their manners. He’s all about good vibes and gets along great with friendly, easygoing pups. Rude or pushy dogs? Not Max’s style! With his happy-go-lucky attitude, Max is ready for adventures, snuggles, and a family to call his own. If you’re looking for a loyal, fun-loving companion who’s as sweet as he is large, Max might just be your perfect match!IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. If you are seeing our pets posted in your state, that's because you live near a transport stop, they are not currently at that location. Petfinder lists our pets as 'Out of Town' pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it. You can read more about transport here: www.charmingpetrescue.org/transportWe understand transport is not an option for everyone, but we offer it at the cost we pay the transport company for those who wish to adopt from us.January 9, 2025, 8:48 pm

Have you ever REALLY seen a fluffy butt?? CAUSE you have NOW! And not just one butt, but 5 BUTTS!!! We are the cutest pups but we are also smart pups! We are BIG PUPPIES! Our mama is Merica, a 90# super mama dog, she taught us lots of cool things...eating, playing and napping. We have definitely graduated from "the school of Mom" we are ready to learn what your family wants to teach us. Our cute fuzzy faces will win you over, but you have to remember...hair will come off of us and onto your FUR-niture, so an excellent vacuum is a necessity and patience :). We also have some semblance of guardian dog in us, so our new families need to be in charge or we will be! We can't wait yo meet you, our new families! Adopt, don't shop!! Local adoption fee is $350 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $650 (includes transport to your area)
