Story
Meet Asia, a beautiful 6-year-old Great Pyrenees with a heart as big as she is! Asia is a gentle giant; quiet, mild-mannered, and incredibly affectionate. She loves being petted and enjoys the company of her humans. However, like many Pyrenees, Asia has strong boundaries when it comes to handling, especially in a veterinary setting. She can be sensitive about her feet and hind end being touched, and it’s important that her new family understands and respects these boundaries.Asia was previously adopted but returned due to her struggles at the vet. We’re looking for a family who is patient, willing to work with her during those stressful times, and who is comfortable using a muzzle for vet visits if needed. Asia needs a family that will give her the space she needs while also helping her feel secure and loved.Asia does great with other dogs and is even friendly with cats! She would thrive in a home with experience in the breed and a family that will encourage her gentle, loving nature while respecting her personal space. If you’re looking for a calm and affectionate companion who just needs a little understanding, Asia might be the perfect fit for you.If you`d like to meet this sweet girl, please call us at 519-685-1330.

This sweet, affectionate girl is full of energy and loves to snuggle with her people. Despite her age, she’s still very puppy-like, with a playful nature that includes jumping up when excited and mouthing hands for attention. June is a quick learner, food motivated, and would thrive in agility classes. She has great recall and walks well on a leash, though she would benefit from at least two walks a day to keep her active.   Juniper can be resource protective of her toys and crate, but with some work, she’ll be the perfect companion. She’s shy at first but warms up quickly to new people and situations. While she’s not a big fan of car rides, she’s improving with time. June would do best in a home with a calm, confident dog or as the only dog, and she’s always ready for some fun playtime.   Her adoption fee is $650 which includes her vaccines, preventatives, microchip and spay.   If you think you can give her a happy ever after home, please complete our online adoption application at this link https://www.animalert.ca/apply/dog-adoption    Due to the high volume of emails, calls, and messages we receive, it is not possible to respond to every application.
