Story
Hello! My name is Asher.I've been waiting patiently for a new home since March! I'm a friendly and easy-going guy. I enjoy lounging around the house or yard after a nice walk. I am very treat-motivated and love to learn. I'm smart and pick up on new tricks quickly. I have shown some resource guarding around my food - but nobody likes their things being taken, right? And I can be a bit sensitive around handling my ears when they are sore. I have been doing very well with training and am eager to join a home that will use positive training methods to help me improve in these areas. I've had a rough start to life and can't wait to join a kind family that will give me lots of love and good care.MY IDEAL HOME INVOLVES...CHILDREN: No, I'm looking for an adult-only home. OTHER DOGS: No, I have guarded my resources from dogs in the past and would do best as the only pet in the home.CATS: No, I'm looking to be the only pet.FIRST-TIME DOG OWNERS: No, I would do best with someone who has dog experience.FENCED-IN YARD: Highly recommended, unless it's a rural property.HOUSING ENVIRONMENT: Any with yard.SOMEONE HOME MOST OF THE DAY: Not necessarily.SOME OTHER THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT ME...ACTIVITY LEVEL: Low-Medium.HOUSE-TRAINED: Yes.If you think I could be a good match for your home, click the "adopt me" button to apply!

Story
🐾 Meet Sybil! 🐾 Sybil is a sweet and gentle 7-month-old Anatolian Shepherd mix, currently tipping the scales at just 9 kilograms. Although she's petite now, she's expected to reach a maximum weight of around 20 kilograms as she grows. Sybil's early experiences have left her feeling a bit uncertain about the great outdoors, as she has spent much of her time at a clinic in Turkey. However, with patient guidance and positive reinforcement, we believe she will blossom into a confident explorer! This lovely girl is eager to find a forever home with adopters who understand her timid nature and are committed to helping her build confidence through gentle socialization. Despite her initial shyness, Sybil has shown a remarkable affinity for humans and is quick to shower her affection on anyone who offers her kindness. Not only is Sybil a friend to humans, but she also gets along famously with cats and other dogs, making her a delightful addition to any pet-loving household. If you're ready to open your heart and home to a precious pup who is waiting to bloom into her full potential, Sybil could be the perfect match for you. Sybil can fly to Toronto or Vancouver when she finds her forever home! If you are interested in adopting her please apply; https://www.cheers2paws.org/dog-adoption-form

Story
Introducing our lovable furry friend! This charming pup is a people-person through and through—ready to soak up all the pets and attention from anyone, including strangers! However, when it comes to little ones, sudden movements and loud noises can startle him a bit. If children are calm and gentle, he's happy to hang out. Although he's not a fan of being carried or lifted up, he's a big fan of canine companions, especially smaller or similar-sized dogs. He's a true protector, but only when needed—stepping up if other dogs are too rowdy or aggressive. Birds? Squirrels? They definitely catch his eye during walks, but with a bit of leash training, he's working on his focus. In terms of energy, he's got the perfect balance—loving outdoor adventures but a total zen master indoors. While he might tug a little on walks, once he settles, he's an excellent leash follower. Busy streets can be overwhelming, so quieter spots are more his style. No guarding resources from people, but he might issue a gentle growl if other dogs get too close. When it's time to travel, he prefers a cozy crate in the car—helping ease those nerves and avoiding any car sickness. One thing's for sure—he's a potty pro outdoors only! Basic commands like sit, stay, paw, and eye contact? Nailed it! And did we mention he's a sucker for ice cubes? If you're ready to welcome this gentle giant into your heart and home, reach out to our team today to make him a part of your family!
