Story
Friday is an incredibly cute ball of cottony fur that climbs into your heart (and lap) with a wag and a kiss. What isn't clear in these shelter photos is how truly beautiful this guy is with his stunning golden coat and sweet smile. At 10 months old and 18 lbs Friday is every bit the young guy...fun-loving, active and so silly! But at the same time this pup is a sweet and very happy-go-lucky. Friday is most likely to express himself with his wagging tail and excited kisses of love once he feels comfortable in his environment. Farfel's Rescue would like to see Friday in a home where he'll get consistent stimulation, exercise and tons of loving hugs. A positive reinforcement / force-free training class promotes great behavior, bonding and confidence for a little guy whose self-esteem will fly high while he masters his skills. Farfel's feels so strongly about a training opportunity for every dog that we're unwilling to adopt to a family that doesn't choose to make this loving choice. Farfel's is happy to provide a list of approved virtual and in-person positive reinforcement / force-free trainers in your area. Friday's forever family will need to make a lifelong commitment to periodic grooming and excellent nutrition (5 star food and a daily salmon oil supplement are perfect lifelong protocols for general longevity and hair care) to keep this gorgeous pup's coat super-healthy, shining and as soft as cotton. Right now, Friday is a blank slate who will soak up positive feedback with every effort to be the best behaved and most cuddly guy around. Friday bonds easily and would love nothing more than to be a full-time best friend. Friday loves neighborhood walks, trips to the store (he's a great window-shopping friend), lap-sitting and backyard fun would be just right for Friday as he grows. This precious guy is flexible enough that he can be introduced to virtually any situation and if there is love and gentle guidance, he can succeed. Friday's new family must have the motivation, energy and open heart for a young rescue dog. He requires behavioral guidance with boundaries and tons of love to give him a positive attitude about his world. Friday would be overjoyed with a family that spends lots of time at home during the day. He would love nothing more than to be a best companion for daytime walks, cuddling and outdoor play. A family that works full time hours outside of the home wouldn't be a match for this dog. Friday is too sensitive a guy to be happy with that type of arrangement. Friday has been vetted and vaccinated to be eligible for his interstate health certificate for travel to Colorado. He has also been neutered to fulfill Farfel's commitment to only adopting out healthy dogs that won't contribute to the overpopulation crisis in the canine population. Friday is arriving on transport in Boulder on Wednesday 326/2025. Applications are currently being accepted for our sweet as can be pup. If interested in this adorable and very cuddly and loving best friend, please fill out an application at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/ and submit. ** PLEASE NOTE ** If you're truly interested in adopting Friday, please be sure to fill out our Farfel's Rescue adoption application found at the link above or at farfels.com. Adoption site applications such as Petfinder and Adoptapet don't provide enough information and therefore aren't useful. Our Farfel's application is the only initial tool that we have to determine a great match for this very deserving dog. We're sorry, but in most cases, we're unable to get back to those that don't submit our Farfel's Rescue adoption application. Thanks very much for choosing rescue.
