Norwegian Forest Cat kittens & cats in Pacific Grove, California

Hi, I’m Candy and I am looking for my forever home. I came to the SPCA as a transfer from a partner shelter where I was picked up as a stray with my kittens. Because I likely spent the beginning of my life outside, I am a bit on the timid side. Shelter staff aren’t sure how I would do in a home with other animals, but I am sure open to trying given the proper introduction! Given my age, I might be a more mellow option if you are looking for a cuddle buddy! I`ve spent the last few weeks in a foster home, here is what they have to say about me: `Candy is affectionate but mindful of her space. She loves to be played with and will not hesitate to tell you she wants attention or food. While Candy hasn`t quite become a lap cat, she enjoys nesting her head on my knees or cuddling up to my legs during the evening when she sleeps. Candy loves attention, and her talkative nature is a constant reminder in the household that she wants to let you know she`s there. In the short time we`ve had Candy, she`s demonstrated a fantastic ability to grow and learn. She sleeps often throughout the day, alternating between her corner cave and her boutique of roses storefront cat bed. But when she is energetic, she loves playing with rope toys, especially ones a bit wider. While Candy can be a furniture scratcher, I have found that with proper training, she`s slowly learning not to scratch furniture. Candy takes time to open up, and when she trusts you, she makes it clear by raising her head to greet you. Since I began fostering her a few weeks ago, she has opened up and shown us how much she loves being cared for and appreciated.`Want to meet me? Rennie is my mother's purebred Ragdoll cat. He is three years old and purchased for $2,000 from a breeder specializing in Ragdolls. My mother has terminal cancer and we are not able to adopt him. Rennie loves and needs his lustrous silky coat to be brushed daily. He is an indoor cat but outdoor-curious He's shy around new people but will get over it after a while and loves to sleep on top of the covers with my mom at night. It is my mother's wish the he be adopted with his bonded friend "Daisy", a female tortoiseshell.
