I weigh about 15 pounds, and while I’ve got a little trachea issue (collapsing trachea), I’m still full of energy and love. My foster family helps me stay calm, and they say I might feel even better if I shed a couple of pounds, but I don’t let it slow me down one bit. I’m super friendly and love making new friends, whether they’re humans, dogs, or even cats! I’m always respectful around everyone and love to be part of the action. My absolute favorite thing is getting ear scratches—they make me so happy! I’ve also discovered toys recently, and I’m having a blast playing with them on my own. When it comes to potty time, I use both a potty pad and the great outdoors, so I’m flexible like that. I’m also crate trained, so I’m happy to relax in my crate when needed. While I do enjoy the freedom of a fenced yard, I’m not big on leash walks because of my trachea. Instead, I love spending time in the yard where I can roam around and enjoy the fresh air without any pressure. I’m a well-behaved girl who knows a few commands like “Come” and the magic word for “Outside.” I only bark when something really catches my attention, so I’m generally pretty quiet. I absolutely adore humans and will follow you everywhere, though I’m still learning to watch where I’m going—I might accidentally walk right in your path! I’m also very patient during bath time and will stand still the entire time because I know how important it is to stay clean. I can’t wait to find a forever home where I can share all my love and playfulness. This will be at the adopter’s expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses. Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non-shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption, but each bio is written by the foster as they see them, in their home.
