Story
Meet Baloo! Some describe him as a "shepherd/lab/bulldog mix," but genetic testing shows that he is actually equal parts Big Munch, Loompy Loo, and Handsome Good Boy (HGB). Like most Big Munches, Baloo tends to express affection with sweet little nibbles, a cultural practice religiously maintained over countless generations. However, he is increasingly partial to a regular old kiss. In an interesting departure from his heritage, Baloo has rejected the affinity for water characteristic of other Loompies and is effectively deterred from any misbehavior (e.g., jumping, attention-seeking barking) with a simple spray bottle, though this also means that bath time requires generosity in patience and peanut butter. Baloos capacity for cuddles is matched only by his capacity for intellect, and he would gladly spend all day rotating between naps, snuggling, sniffing, and learning, in a constant loop, forever. He has met mastery on Sit, Down, Stay, Paw, Find (a hide-and-seek command used for locating treats), and Come, and in a recent assessment demonstrated competency in Couch (a command to sit in his designated couch spot). He continues to make progress on Walk, but is just so darn excited about it that he can't help but inch ahead! When it comes time for his caretakers to take care of non-Bubaloo matters, he will happily exchange several hours of crate time for (1) treat-filled Kong, please and thank you. Baloo is at his Handsomest and Goodest when he is not being overstimulated by numerous other HGB's; one-on-one playdates have served him best thus far. He likes to be top boss when it comes to other dogs, but is definitely inclined to play once they've established their relative statuses. In the words of one of his foster mom's friends, "I can't believe he hasn't been adopted yet, what more does anyone want?" (Said incredulously, not sarcastically). Make a grown woman cry and adopt this dog today!
