Meet Kisses, a 2-year-old female Retreiver mix.Kisses has been with YHS for a few weeks. She was abandoned with no food or water in the local off leash dog park. Due to her abandonment it took Kisses a little time to realize that the staff could be trusted. It really didn't take long as she is a big fan of treats. Kisses is still young and has a lot of energy. She needs some more training to keep her from pulling on her walks but she loves treats and already knows sit.This pet is available for adoption at the Yakima Humane Society adoption center. If you recognize this animal please contact the adoption center at 509-457-6854.If you are interested in adopting this pet please fill out an adoption questionnaire at www.yakimahumane.org. A Yakima Humane Society staff member will contact you once your questionnaire has been processed. Adopters are welcome to visit the adoption center Monday-Saturday. A Picture says 1000 words...right? While an animal's picture draws interest, the reality is that as a potential adopter most people would like as much information as possible about a pet. The Yakima Humane Society is an open admission shelter. What does this mean? Over 90% of the pets at the adoption center arrive as strays, no history of behavior or medical care is known. Meet Smiley, an 8-week-old male Golden Retriever/Shepherd mix.Smiley and his siblings were surrendered to the adoption center as part of the My Last Litter program. This litter is well socialized and loves to get snuggles. They are all going to make wonderful family companions.Please remember that Smiley is a puppy and puppy behavior comes with the package. They need basic training and potty training along with being provided chew toys to encourage proper chewing habits. All puppies require socializing from a young age to help them become the best, most well-rounded dog they can be.This pet is available for adoption on 8/17/24 at the Yakima Humane Society adoption center.
