Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Cameron was returned this summer - 9 months after he was adopted! Now he's looking for a REAL forever family.  Cameron is best described as a Cat-Dog. Much like a cat Cameron is happy on his own, and likes to be petted - but when he's ready. He isn't gonna try to steal the spotlight because he'd much rather hang out on his own - until he's comfortable. If you are looking for a fast friend, this is NOT the dog for you. But if you want to invest the time and let the dog feel relaxed and safe, he will repay you by letting you pet his chin. Cameron will do really well in a home with another small dog to help him feel more comfortable, or with a human that won't put too much pressure on him to be their friend. He is leash trained, crate trained and will need a dog savvy adopter. =============================================================== Originally, Cameron came to us after his owner was evicted and decided to abandon the house full of animals when they left.  Cameron and the two pack mates that we pulled with him were terrified. It's been 9 months and these cutie pies are available for adoption.  Cameron is the slowest to come around of the 3 dogs we pulled. While he is more comfortable hanging out by himself he does like people.  Cameron absolutely loves to run around the yard, and the more you praise how fast he is, the faster he runs - with a smile! Cameron is still shy and needs an owner that will go slow with him, but still apply a little bit of pressure. If you'd like to meet Cameron, come on down to our adoption center. Story
Meet Sierra! Sierra came to us from the Pasadena Humane Society. She is 12 years old, weighs 9 lbs., and is so sweet. Sierra is always happy and smiling, and she tilts her head in the most adorable way when you talk to her! Sierra enjoys being held and cuddled, and she is always ready to meet a new friend. This makes her a perfect pup to represent FFF at community events, and she recently went to a senior dog yoga fundraister! Sierra is diabetic and nearly blind, but she doesn't let either condition keep her from enjoying life! She went on an outing with a volunteer and easily navigated her way around a store without any issues. Sierra eats well and receives her insulin injections without a fuss. She is easy peasy! Please don't let Sierra being diabetic keep you from meeting or adopting her! We will show you how to do the injections if you aren't familiar, and we will pay for the insulin and supplies for the rest of her life. Sierra is the sweetest girl. All she wants is love, and she gives it back tenfold! Sierra is currently on a two-week Frosted Fling, so we can learn what she is like in a home setting while she enjoys extra love and attention. Her Fling Mom reports: * Sierra is a sweet as pumpkin pie and is charming every neighbor that she meets! * Despite her limited vision, she navigates well on a leash or off. She follows her Fling Mom's footsteps and voice. * Sierra has no reaction at all to receiving her insulin injection. * She rides nicely in the car and loves walks. * Sleeps through the night in a pen next to her Fling Mom's bed. * Sierra is 100% house-trained. I let her out every 3-4 hours, and she sleeps through the night. * She enjoys the company of my Maltese, however, would be fine without him. She has no fear of my greyhounds. * She loves her people and her two meals a day! * Sierra is such a good girl! Check back for the full report on Sierra's Fling!

Story
*This is a courtesy listing.* Meet Peter! Peter is a 10-year-old Papillon mix who is looking for a compassionate and understanding home where he can enjoy his senior years with the care and support he needs. His current guardians adopted him 4.5 years ago, but due to increasing work commitments that includes lengthy travel, they have made the difficult decision to rehome Peter. Behavior and Personality: Peter is friendly and loves meeting new people, including children. He is curious but not aggressive towards other dogs and settles well after a few moments of adjustment. He is a bit jumpy around cats but generally settles down after a short time. Peter is an indoor dog. He is crate-trained and becomes anxious when left alone, but being in his crate is soothing for him. He chooses to sleep in his crate at as well, but doesn't mind being picked up and placed in bed for cuddling. Peter enjoys walks around the neighborhood and visits to the off-leash dog park. Health and Care Needs: Peter eats one scoop twice daily of freeze-dried Orijen for senior dogs. He has a heart mumur, but heart disease has not been diagnosed. He takes medication daily to delay the onset of heart disease. He takes another medication as needed for coughing related to his heart condition. Peter is potty trained, but during the first few days in his new home, it would best to keep him in a belly band. Once he is adjusted to the new space, he will only potty outside. If you are interested in adopting Peter and providing him with the loving home he needs, please contact Skye by email at Ksdolph@gmail.com or by phone/text: (530) 308-3886.
