Story
Frittz is the sweetest and softest dog you will ever meet. He is about 3 years old and 13 pounds. Frittz loves to be snuggled up beside his human on the couch, and at night, he wants to be in the bed sleeping beside you. What he loves even more is to be cuddled in a blanket and held like a baby. Frittz is easygoing and great with other dogs, big and small. He’s good with children that respect boundaries and approach him gently. He doesn’t really care to play with toys or chew on things. He is house trained and well-mannered. He loves to go on walks, explore the backyard, and will occasionally get the zoomies in the house. Some things to consider that will require patience, time, and the right home: Frittz has a little bit of separation anxiety. When we leave the house, he pants, paces, and howls very loudly for over an hour. We have tried crating him to see if that brought him comfort, but he chewed the metal bars off the crate. We’ve tried using baby gates to block off rooms, but he can easily jump them. We have not had Frittz for very long and with time, reassurance, and a firm routine, his anxiety could improve. We will continue to assess and consider how we can set him up for success when he is home alone. When we return home, Frittz cries and yip-yaps with joy and if we don’t get him outside quick enough he will urinate from the excitement. This is easily managed by taking him outside immediately and making sure he has relieved himself before returning inside. Because of this, Frittz would appreciate a home where someone is with him most of the day. Frittz never meets a stranger, as he greets everyone by immediately rolling over for tummy rubs! He will instantly be a lucky person’s loyal companion and is ready to be loved and doted on!
