Story
#A5683151 Meet Marty, our 6-month-old Parsons or Border Terrier mix with a darling tuft of shaggy black and cinnamon fur! This sweet girl is as cute as can be, but she's a bit of a scaredy cat at the shelter, still adjusting to all the new experiences. Marty has not been socialized much, making her the perfect blank slate for training, including all the puppy basics - she doesn’t even know what a leash is yet! Marty would thrive in a calm, adult-only household where her new family can go slow and help her build confidence at her own pace. She could also benefit from group training classes to help with confidence building, and will really shine as either an only pup or with other calm dogs (after proper introductions of course!). With the right patience and love, Marty is sure to become an incredible companion - will you take home this cutie pie today? 6 month old brown and black Parsons or Border Terrier mix 42.6 pound spayed female Up to date on all shots and preventatives, so ready to go home with you today! Came to the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center on 3/3/25 as an owner surrender - but we have no notes and no idea why, as Marty is such a sweetie absolutely darling fluffy tuft of shaggy black and cinnamon colored fur such a cutie pie, but a bit of a skittish scaredy cat at the shelter given her age, she has not been socialized or exposed to very much, making her a great blank slate for training, including all the puppy basics - this baby girl doesn't even know what a leash is! could especially benefit from group training classes so she can also build her confidence around other pups shy with new people and intimidated by other dogs - would do best in an adults only household willing to go slow and give Marty time to decompress and adjust would also do best as an only pup, or in a household with only calm dogs, with the proper introductions MARTY’S VIDEO: https://youtube.com/shorts/n1IK For more information, contact volunteer Karen at karenklink94@hotmail.com Photo Credit@ bellabernhardt Look up this or other animals at Baldwin Park Animal Care Center https://animalcare.lacounty.gov/view-our-animals/ Use their unique ID NUMBER.
