Story
Rocket was born in October 2015. January 2016 we purchased him from the Yuppie Puppy pet store which specialized in getting dogs from “good breeders” not puppy mills. We had a previous dog for 17 years and the house just seemed empty without a dog. The whole family was in alignment to get a new dog and understood the commitment to training a puppy.Rocket’s early years were spent at home and our children were in 3rd and 7th grade when he arrived. He enjoyed playdates in the yard with the kids and their friends. Playing ball, hide-and-seek and building forts. Rocket would just runaround with the kids and always wanted to be involved. My husband and I work traditional 9-5 jobs and the kids went to school. Some days Rocket would go to “puppy daycare” which he thoroughly enjoyed. In true Jack Russell fashion he would try to rule the place. Walking on the perimeter top of the fence as if he was on patrol. We used to joke with the proprietors and say he thought he was the mayor. When Rocket was about 4 we noticed he developed some environmental allergies. Pink belly and chewing at his feet. We brought him to the Vet and he needed an allergy shot. We also like to have rockets nails trimmed. Otherwise they split and he hurts his toes while running around and digging. He gets this allergy shot seasonally in the fall and spring, essentially 2x a year.Rocket has his own room (the dining room which is gated) with a crate and has NEVER slept in a bed with us or our kids. Occasionally there is a nap on the couch, but for the most part everyone has their own bed and he sleeps solidly through the night 7-8 hours.  Sometimes Rocket wakes up grumpy and it takes him a few minutes to adjust. Just give him space and a moment to wake up and he is fine. January 28, 2025, 12:43 am

He loves his toys and chew bones and exploring outside. He enjoys wearing his sweater on these cold days. He’s very affectionate and will give a kiss hello. He loves sleeping under the covers:) He loves walking at the park and has learned to sit and stayArchie is a year and a half years old and around 25 pounds!Archie you sure are a cutie!!! He is ready for Christmas in his snazzy sweater! This little over a year old JRT mix is ready to be your best friend! He loves toys and play time! He is around 25 pounds of pure energy! He will need a fenced in yard to run in or someone very active to take him for plenty of walks! House and crate trained! Would be good with another dog or two but probably not want a house full! Who do you invite to the party first. The life of the party? Why Archie of course! Story
Hank- CP a Jack Russell Terrier puppy was found on a front porch of a friends house on Feb 28. No collar and no chip. She posted him on several local websites with no results. She took him to a shelter which is a kill shelter on March 2. I adopted him on March 3 and brought him home. I currently have 2 dogs and 3 cats, so my house is fairly full and i would love to find him a loving home that understands the breed. He is 5-6 months old, some shots, and scheduled to be neutered this week.He is very smart, cuddly, and active! He is doing well on his potty training within only a few days. Hank walks great on a leash. Anyone that wants a jack russell puppy would be lucky to have him. He is extremely sweet! If you can foster or adopt please contactRussellrescuetn@gmail.comAvailable dogs are met by appointment only and pre-approved adopters ONLY.Our dogs are currently in a foster homes which can answer your questions better than anyone else. We promise our fosters that we will qualify all potential adopters before we ask them to communicate with potential adopters. The application is the first step. Story
If you are in search of a loving, yet active little dog, then you have found just the right girl!  Bonnie is a young, one year old, 18 pound, Jack Russell who is spunky and happy and oh so cuddly.  She is the total package of smart, quick to learn, and easy to love.  Bonnie is a little shy when you first meet her, but we guarantee she will warm up fast. She loves to play with other dogs and pull out all the toys at the foster home. And what a cuddle bug she is who longs to be someone’s very special little girl.  She is still working on her house training, but is crate trained for short periods.  No, 8 hour long crate time will work for her.  As you can imagine with an active dog, a fenced in yard would work best.  Bonnie would also love to have her new family home most of the time because she loves her people.  We are recommending that she be with an active family as she loves to see new sights and is ready for travel adventures and car rides.  She is on the go and ready to love you!  Bonnie is your girl if you are checking all her boxes.  Please write to ccrtennessee@gmail.com if you are interested.  Please mention where you live:  city and state.  She is currently in Nashville, Tn with Critter Cavalry Rescue and we transport to the northeast on weekend.       ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED. Story
When you love the Jack Russell breed of dog then you try to find that pure love to adopt.  Well Clyde is a very sweet dog but yet he is the shy type that will be oh so loving of a boy that will make you feel like you the most special person in the world.  He is just a year old and 17 pounds and he loves to play with toys that squeak and crunch. He is an active Jack Russell breed that needs a fenced in yard so he can run around and play with others safely. When it comes to cuddles….we all love that with our dogs, Clyde gives you the best cuddles that results when you “sit” he wants to be in your lap.  We will admit that he is not totally house trained and so that is a work in progress. He is crate trained as long as not being left for long hours cause of his age.   He walks on a leash as amateur but worked with it. He loves to go for long walks and see new things.   When it comes to feeling secure with a family, he is Ok with children who are respectable and who want to give him gentle and loving hugs. The Jack Russell breed is an active and vibrant one of colorful moods and playful antics.  They can be loving and snuggly and then zooming around the backyard with the energy that you wish you still had in your body.  They are invigorating and challenging to kind of up your ante so to speak.  They can help  you be more determined every day to be more focused and productive.   We love the active dogs that bring a zest to the pace of life and an intelligence that will keep you thinking great thoughts and making great strides in life.  If you are interested in Clyde the Slyde… please email at ccrtennessee@gmail.com and let us know where you live and a little more about yourself and why a JRT like Clyde is right up your alley!   ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED.
