Hello, my name is Benny! I found my way to the shelter after my elderly owner became unable to take care of my anymore. Being a senior myself, I get it, so now, I'm ready for a new family to call my own. I am not a fan of being picked up and can be a little sensitive due to arthritis. I still enjoy playing short rounds of fetch and going for short strolls, but that's all I'm up for these days.In my foster home we have learned that I am housebroken and crate-trained. I live with a cat and don't mind him either! We even share a bed sometimes. I am looking for a home where kiddos are over 8 years old and understand little old dogs need their space somethings. I am open to living with another dog with proper introduction. I hope to meet you soon!---This dog is currently living in a foster home and is available by appointment only. Story
Hi! My name is Sarge, I am a young male Jack Russel Terrier / Pomeranian mix, aged about 5 months old. I was found with my brother at a farmers market out in the hot sun all day in a wire cage when a wonderful human paid her own money to get us away from that situation! We are so thankful she scooped us up and brought us home to find a better life! The woman tried to find somewhere safe for us to go and ultimately received help by surrendering us to the Pet Pantry.   We are currently in a foster home in Landisville and looking for our forever homes. My foster family will tell you that I may be loud when a stranger comes up to me, but I warm up quick and am a lovable little guy that have stolen their hearts. If you don’t like to be snuck up on, no worries - I will alert you when someone new walks into the room. I really love being your companion and having you around to hang out with. At night, I feel lonely if I’m by myself and would really prefer if you wanted to let me cuddle with you in bed - I won’t take up much space and I’ll sleep through the night if I’m with you.  One of my favorite pastimes is to chew on a bully stick on a comfy dog bed. Although I do jump up when I’m excited to see you, I’m only 14ish pounds and redirect quickly with a treat. I do well with children and although I want to jump up for their attention, I listen to their cues pretty well. I can be a bit of a bully to my brother, Chase, when he steals a toy or treat that I want, but I haven’t acted that way to humans. I walk well on a leash in the backyard and don’t mind going on car rides.   I am fully housetrained and I recently learned “sit”. I am looking for a family to spoil me with affection and be around to hang out with me. I am neutered, microchipped, and up to date on my vaccines. I am basically there, but I have marked my existence in the house, so introducing me slowly to new spaces of the house is best to keep me from claiming my territory. I am looking for a family to spoil me with affection and be around to hang out with me. I am neutered, microchipped, and up to date on my vaccines.
