Giselle and Honey are a bonded pair of happy outgoing little 7 lb. dogs. They are approximately 2 years old. Giselle appears to be a miniature Schnauzer mix and Honey is a Pekinese mix. They play very well together and with other dogs of all sizes. Giselle will chase cats. They are escape artists and will need a secure fence in the yard. They love people and are in constant search of a warm lap or soft pillow. Prefer someone that works from home or is home most of the time. . Sprinkles just arrived as a breeder release who is a darling, mature girl at 8 years old and about 9lbs. Since she is an older gal, she does have a little "hitch in her giddy up." Upon arrival she was vetted and it was determined that she has luxating patella's in both of her rear legs (one is 3/4 and the other is 4/4). On occasion she will limp on her back leg, but it doesn't seem to slow her down one bit. She is able to climb a couple of stairs at a time or run around the yard. And, just like most of us as we age her vision is not 100%, but she still gets around. Because of her past, she is shy/timid with people as she has never really had a chance to be socialized. Despite that, once she warms up to you, she does want to be by your side! She is learning to trust and is starting to understand that people are pretty cool! If she's feeling comfortable, she will join you where ever you are and lay down at your feet. Sprinkles' adopter will need to understand that it will take her time to come around and give her the space she needs to do so on her own timeline. Because of this, a home with older, dog savvy children would be best as loud noises and fast moments can startle her. A home with another older or well-behaved dog would also help her come out of her shell. She is working on housetraining in her foster home and is doing okay if kept on a schedule. Her ideal home would be with someone who is just looking for a nice, quiet companion to pass the days with or someone who enjoys spending time with senior dogs.
