*ADOPTION PENDING***A HUGE THANK YOU TO LYNNE DUPONT FOR FULLY SPONSORING EMMA'S ADOPTION FEE IN MEMORY OF MADDIE**Are you looking for a gentle, quiet little friend to share your days with? Meet Emma, a small dog with a big heart, waiting to find her forever home. Emma is a 10 year old spayed female Pekingese mix who weighs about 18 lbs. She was rescued from a crowded shelter after being picked up as a stray in need of medical attention. Emma had a large mass on her hind leg, nasty teeth, and a painful eye that needed to be removed. Thankfully, she was able to get the care she needed, and is now ready to live her golden years being spoiled like the queen she is! Emma is the epitome of calm and contentment. She's a reserved little lady who loves nothing more than to lay next to you on the couch, providing companionship and comfort. Emma is completely housebroken, and is remarkably quiet - in fact, we've never heard her bark! This makes her an ideal choice for apartment or condo living. Emma would be perfect for older adults or anyone seeking a peaceful, low-maintenance pet. She is crate trained and walks beautifully on a leash. One of Emma's favorite pastimes is going for car rides, especially if the ride will include a stop for ice cream! She enjoys the journey and is happy to accompany you wherever you go. While she gets along well with people, she can be a bit bossy with other dogs, so she might do best as the only pet in the household. If you're looking for a loyal, loving companion to share quiet moments with, Emma is the dog for you. Adopt Emma today and discover the joy of her serene presence in your life.Interested in adopting? Story
PLEASE READ BELOW FOR OUR ADOPTION APPLICATION LINK NORTH NEW JERSEY Harvey is the sweetest little black with white Pekingese boy. He is 13 pounds and probably around 8 years old. He is extremely affectionate with his humans and will stare into your eyes so you know he loves you! He is a fun little guy and loves chasing a tossed toy and playing with the other pups in his foster home. Harvey lived with Teddy (also available, see pic above) and they can go home together or individually. Harvey is very well behaved and a super chill little guy. He LOVES sitting outside in any weather. Even in the rain! He would love a nice grassy area to hang out in and a fenced yard would be even better so he can meander around as he likes. He can be an only dog since his humans are his priority but he can live with other small breed pups (and other Pekes of course). He LOVES running around the yard with his foster siblings. Extensive vetting has been done and he is in excellent health. PLEASE READ BELOW FOR OUR ADOPTION APPLICATION LINK NORTH NEW JERSEY Teddy is the sweetest little cream and tan Pekingese boy. He is 13 pounds and probably around 8 years old. He is extremely affectionate with his humans and loves to give you kisses! He is a super chill guy that loves to lounge around and sun himself by the window. Teddy lived with Harvey (also available, see pic above) and they can go home together or individually. Teddy is pretty low key and just does his own thing most of the day. He does get excited and does a little happy dance when he comes back into the house after roaming around the yard. He can be an only dog since his humans are his priority but he can live with other small breed pups (and other Pekes of course). He loves going for walks or would love a fenced in yard to meander around. Tweenagers and up please. Extensive vetting has been done and he is in excellent health. He does have dry eyes and very early glaucoma so he is on eye drops for both. He also arrived at the shelter with horrible ear infections that we have been treating. Due to the lack of care of his eyes and ears, his vision and hearing are not perfect but he gets around just fine and they seem to be improving now that he is getting what he needs medically. Story
PLEASE READ BELOW FOR OUR ADOPTION APPLICATION LINK MEET SPAULDING the PEKINGESE!!! North New Jersey Spaulding is a 2 year old, 18 lb. male black and white parti CKC Registered Pekingese with the coolest tail that flips black-white from side to side! This little guy is SUPER sweet and he LOVES being with his people and giving hugs and kissies. He is VERY playful with toys and other pups. He can be rambunctious and would do well with a furry playmate of equal size and strength. He is a very good listener and knows some commands. He is housebroken and looks to his person for guidance. He knows the routine in the home well. He was bought as a puppy into a home with three young children. Unfortunately, now that he is bigger he does not appreciate being man-handled by small kids and he has bite history with the kids in the home (not his fault!). Thus, Spaulding needs a kid-free home (no young kids living or visiting--teenagers and up ok) where he can continue to thrive. In his foster home he has been the sweetest most well-behaved little guy. He was wonderful at the groomer and at the vet. He loves everyone he meets and promptly jumps in your lap and gives kissies. Spaulding has been brought UTD, neutered, chipped, dewormed, he is HW and Lyme negative, had allergy testing, and is housebroken. He also knows how to use potty pads if they are available. He is allergic to chicken and doing well on a lamb-based kibble. He will go home with a bag of his kibble. Given his high energy level, a fenced in yard is required as is another fur sibling he can romp with. He really enjoys playing and hanging out with his fur friends and does well having another doggie friend (or more) to hang out with. He happens to do extremely well with Bodie who is also for adoption. Breed experience is preferred and will be prioritized (or similar brachycephalic breeds). Adoption donation is $550. Story
Wonton’s a 3yo 8lb Pekingese mix. He’s dog and kid 12+ friendly. He’s house and pee pad trained. He’s great in a secure fenced in yard. He’s very sweet, cuddly and affectionate with people and other friendly dogs. Wonton MUST have a home with a secure fenced in yard along with being allowed on the furniture to cuddle with his people and sleep in bed with them. If your home DOES NOT fit this please DO NOT put an application in. We will not call anyone not a fit. Also, we will be concentrating on local to foster applications 1st since home checks and meets with all humans and animals in home is needed at meet. Our fosters are all volunteers so aren’t always able to travel too far. Wonton’s neutered, vaccinated, HW negative and microchipped. Currently in Bensalem, PA. If your home fits the bio and MUST haves and you’re interested in applying to adopt please do so at www.tprescue.org
