You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.  I know you want to meet me. I will be at Chuck & Don's, Eden Prairie, 8022 Den Rd, Eden Prairie, MN 55344 for an Adoption Event on Saturday, March 15th from 11:00-1:00 pm. Please email inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com for questions regarding the dogs. Meet Frito!!  Frito is a lovable, slightly quirky corgi who’s got more personality than most people you know. At 3 years old and just 12 pounds, this little guy is a big bundle of energy and joy! He’s a professional in the art of zoomies and can jump on and off things like he’s auditioning for Cirque du Soleil. When he’s not bouncing around like a rubber ball, he’s standing on his hind legs, dancing, or even doing a little snake move on his back for fun. Yes, you read that right. Frito is a performer! Frito’s main talent? Getting attention. He thrives on human affection and will happily greet you with a series of cute, happy growls (because, why not?). He might be a bit shy at first, but once he knows you're his person, he’s all in, ready for cuddles and playtime. He’s got a sweet spot for plush toys, not picky with treats (but he definitely has opinions if you try to steal his snack), and will bring joy to any corgi-loving home. His perfect match? A home with a fellow corgi or a dog with that “I’m-cool-with-you-being-weird” corgi temperament. Frito is crate trained, loves his fenced yard (he’s basically a free spirit when he's out there), and has mastered a few basic commands like “sit,” “come,” and “kennel.” He may still be a little unsure about leash walks, but give him a fenced yard, and he’s in his element! Frito is on the lookout for his forever family. Could it be you? If you have another dog, especially a fellow corgi or corgi-sized companion, Frito’s ready to bring the fun! Bonus points if you can keep up with his zoomies. Apply now before Frito's fun-tastic antics are snapped up by someone else! Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption. This will be at the adopter’s expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses. Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non-shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog whose bio states those needs and do not currently have them, please understand that your home might not be the right fit. Please use the filter on our Adoptable Dogs page to find the perfect match for your home.    ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there***Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.If you have other questions about me you can email Underdog Rescue at <inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com> ADOPTION EVENTS:      Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. If an event is not listed within their bio above, the animal is not planning to attend.  Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. We recommend filling out an application and we will set up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved. ADOPTION PROCEDURE: The first step in our process is to complete an online adoption application on our website: http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/adoptionprocess/   Note: In most circumstances Underdog Rescue will only adopt within 60 miles of Minneapolis, MN.  All of our foster animals can be seen by appointment with an approved adoption application. Contact us at http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/contact-us/ if you have further questions. FOSTER CARE: All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption, but each bio is written by the foster as they see them, in their home. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality, but it cannot be guaranteed. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves in time and with patience.  If you have an interest and ability to be a foster home, please visit our website  www.underdogrescuemn.com/foster-applications  and fill out a foster application. NUTRITION: Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets.  All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet.  All adopters are required to continue providing premium diets for the life of the animal. TEXAS ADOPTION ONLY Hi my name is Cookee, and I'm the sweetest treat of a pup that you'll ever meet. People say I remind them of cookies and cream when I give them sweet kisses on the nose or bump up and snuggle with them when they're feeling down. I am a Corgi Dachshund mix (we think) and medium sized about 30# full grown. Sitting on people's couches or laps is my favorite pastime as I get to snuggle close to the people I love, which is practically everyone! I LOVE OTHER DOGS TOO!! I definitely want a home with other dogs :) As I am a bit on the older side and lived on the streets until I was saved with my babies in my tummy. I have been living at my foster home and am ready for my forever HOME!! I will need a patient and loving family to give me a good life of exercise- LOL, playtime, treats, love, affection, and belonging. Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX)

These pups are in Buffalo, Minnesota too!

Story
Location: Ogilvie, MN Hi guys! My government name is technically S'mores, but these humans I've been crashing with have been calling me "Stumpy" so I've been just going with it. I actually really like them calling me that...so it's the only thing I'll come to now. I recently moved in with these folks after livin' my entire life on the streets. I was born and raised out in the elements with, like, a LOT of other 4-leggeds like me with little to no 2-leggeds contact. I can't lie, it's been a weird transition for me and I'm still trying to get used to it, but I've definitely been enjoying life on the inside! Since I knew no other life than being outside, I guess that's helped me naturally know that I have to potty out there because I've never gone in the house! I always wait until it's time to walk the land. This lady I'm bunked up with calls me a "good baby" 67 times an hour, especially after I go potty outside, so I guess I must be doing alright. These humans really seem to like that?! Weird. Anyways... As much as I do love this living inside business, I still get the urge to run like the wind sometimes since it's in my roots, so I have to walk around on this long rope thing...and occasionally, it makes me throw a quick tantrum, but I'm doing much better with it. I'm fine, everything's fine! Since I grew up with so many family members to keep me company out there, it's been really nice to have another dog around to make me feel more comfortable. He and I play a LOT and he's definitely my favorite in the house. I get pretty sad when he's not close by. I don't think I'd ever be able to live anywhere without a fur buddy, that's for sure. I guess I'm one of those "Anxious Attachment Style" kinda guys. Whatever. I do like the humans, too...especially when they give me bites of that stick cheese thing. It feels pretty nice when they give me pets and scratches. Lately, I've been starting to let them pick me up and cuddle me on the couch for a bit. ONLY for a bit though...cause I'm still learning this whole "domesticated" thing and that humans aren't scary. Affection is awkward for me, but I'm working on it. They respect my space and this journey I'm on, so that's really cool. It helps me gain some trust each and every day. I know moving in with someone new will be a rough one for me, since I'm just getting used to these guys...but, with a little time, effort and patience with me...my foster lady says I'm going to "make one heck of a good companion!" because I'm "such a sweet boy". She did say that. You can ask her. I'd definitely prefer a quiet home, a calmer home. Little humans really aren't my thing, they kind of freak me out to be honest. I need an easy-breezy lifestyle where I can just be my chill, lazy self with a bigger 2-legged or two and definitely a 4-legged friend that wants to play like me. I just need a little corner for my crate/bed and a few toys that I can drag in there when I need some me time, that's all I ask. I'm more than cool with laying in my crate and snoozing while the humans are away. In fact, I prefer my crate a lot of the time. It's my safe zone and I love it! I guess I'll wrap this up now cause it's almost time for dinner and I loooooovvveeeee to eat...maybe too much because for a stray I'm quite a chunk! Anyways, thanks for reading my bio and although I'm still a little rough around the edges, I'M JUSSA BABYYY and I'll get there eventually, I promise. Hope to meet you soon! -Stumps McGee --------------- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org). Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, and bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, heartworm test (dogs), FIV/FeLV test (cats), dewormed, and microchip implant (including registration). Rescue Network is strictly foster based which means all adoptable animals are in a home and there cannot be a meet until an application is submitted and approved. We have no way of knowing the breeds in the animals. All breeds listed are best guess.
