Story
Murphy turned 8 in April. She is house trained and knows some tricks, like rolling over, spin, a figure 8 between your legs, and playing dead. She does not like to go for walks and is a couch potato. She likes to be pet or be given any type of positive attention. Her tail was cut on the shorter side so it's hard to see her nub when she is excited or happy. She is pretty docile, as her companion Mochi was the alpha (also female). Her teeth have been professionally cleaned throughout the years, although not recently. She is about a month behind on her vaccinations due to some Financial burden. We also just ran out of flea and heartworm medicine.

Story
The reason I am seeking to re-home our corgi (Mira) is due to behavior problems that we cannot handle. I think she could still be a very good pet for a very experienced adopter that has experience with this type of breed. The behavior problems are connected to the 'herding' instinct evident in this breed. She becomes aggressive with me when I attempt to leave the room with a lot of snarling etc. She cannot go to a home with children, or other dogs because she doesn't get along with either. She also has a lot of constant excessive barking due to being extremely nervous. The vet has given us sedatives to help with this, but we cannot constantly be keeping her on medication. She also growls if you go near her food. We adopted her from the Austin Humane Society in early 2023 after she was returned to that facility by another family that was having these same type of issues with her. So again, she requires an experienced adopter that knows what they're doing and how to handle this
