Miss Scarlett has come a long way from when she first arrived in our care! Scarlett was found out at remote camp ground, with no ID and was never claimed. The first few days at the shelter she felt quite nervous of the staff, and her new surroundings, but since being here only a few weeks now, she has really come out of her shell.Scarlett loves the staff now, but will need some time to warm up to anyone new. She enjoys zooming around the staff and then plopping down at their feet for a belly rub, when you try to leave Scarlett, she will refuse to let you leave and beg for more belly rubs.Because she came in as a stray we do not know that much about how she lived before. We do think Scarlett would be okay with dogs with the proper slow leash introductions, but we are recommending no cats. We don't think Scarlett has had much experience with going to a vet and she can be quite scared, we are currently muzzle training her so that she can be safe at future vet visits.She is very high energy and because of that we are recommending no small children as Scarlett can get a bit jumpy when over stimulated. She will need consistent daily exercise and a daily routine. Oh and did we mention she is your typical husky and has a lot to say when she is left alone!If you are interested in Scarlett, you can contact the Alberni branch for more details, or fill out the BCSPCA adoption application.
