Appa is a good boy. He is an inside dog, loves walks, belly scratches and cuddles and loves to play. Unfortunately, our family has a busy schedule and cannot give him the time and attention he deserves. He is used to being the only dog so I couldn't tell you how he would do with other pets. He does like children, we have a 5 year old and he's fine with.

We have had Luna since she was 4 months old. She is currently 3. She is full of energy and loves families. She is a protector. She loves to run in the park to get all of her zooming out. She is currently living with a friend who has a dog until we can find her a home. I cannot have her where I stay. Luna deserves a loving, welcoming home with a back yard.

Selene and her sibling Bleu were adopted from ASPCA, she is 5 years old. Preferably would love her and her sibling to stay together if possiblle. They are both amazing, sweet dogs that get along with everything and everyone. I am active duty military and can no longer give them the life they deserve.

Solstice was adopted at two months old. After two years, they decided she wasn’t a good fit, and returned her. Solstice was returned skittish and afraid of strangers, but loving once she knows you. She is looking for a very special family that will help boost her confidence and provide her with socialization. She is very active, loves fetch, swimming, LOVES hiking, and is learning Dock Diving. She is highly intelligent and has a very “husky” personality. Her foster family reports that she is potty trained, crate trained, and became extremely warm and affectionate after a few days of patience. She is a little “shadow” and loves to be with her foster parents. She is an “alpha” female and looking for an experienced home with no small pets or kids.

Henny's adoption fee is $375 Henny comes to us because her owner has fallen on some hard times and has some medical issues to work on. She has spent her entire 5 years with this family, including a little boy. They grew up together, and she loves kids. Henny is a very loving dog but can be uncomfortable around other dogs now. She is in socialization school, so we have high hopes that she won't have to be an only dog forever. But one on one, you can't beat this girl. The adoption fee is a tax-deductible donation to our 501c3 rescue and includes vaccines, worming microchips, and spaying/neutering. Meet and greets will only be scheduled after a completed and signed application is submitted. We do not adopt on a first-come, first-served basis...We do our homework and ensure the home is the best possible situation for the pet based on breed specifics and the lifestyle of the potential home. Breed descriptions are the best guess since we do not know both parents... One Mutt at a Time does our best to establish possible breed mixes using our experience in consultation with our vet. We make no guarantees to breed combinations unless we know both parents. This is a mixed breed dog of unknown origin unless otherwise stated.

There was a dog family who had been abandoned in a house after the owner passed away. They were left there for 6 weeks until found by the neighbors. During that time the mama dog (a smaller shepherd) had a beautiful litter of puppies with the daddy! (a Corgi/Husky mix). The neighbors reached out for help as this was no place for a dog to live! not even a human can live there!! The house they were living in was horrendous! There were dead rats everywhere and feces and urine as they were locked inside the entire time. The Neighbors reached out to us for help and when we saw those conditions we immediately knew we had to get those pups out of there!
