Story
Jack is a sweet boy, and volunteer Chris says that he is a “diamond in the rough.” Jack had a difficult start to life as a dog who was chained outside all day and in his next home, he was not treated well. Jack needs lots of love, and a dog-savvy owner equipped with patience and the ability to train him. He responds well to treats and positive affirmations. If you are willing to put in the effort that Jack needs, you will be rewarded with a loyal companion!Jack will need an indoor home and a secure containment area to stay safe from wandering and escaping. Positive reinforcement, fear-free training will be needed. Daily exercise and mental enrichment will be very important. If you have other dogs in your home, we would be happy to arrange a meet and greet with your dog(s) to make sure everyone gets along. We don’t know how he will do with cats. He should be in a home with children 12+.Jack weighs 61 lbs., and is up to date on vaccines, microchipped, neutered, and ready to go home today!
