Story
Meet Marnie the one of the most incredible and resilient dogs we've come across. This sweet baby at just six months old found herself in a high kill shelter in South Carolina. Sadly, it was pretty clear Marnie had something going on as she was pretty wobbly in the back end. Radiographs revealed a significant defect in her spine and it appears to be a previous fracture. More than likely, sweet Marnie was hit by a car and left to fend for herself for some time. Her injury has already begun to heal and as of right now is not a candidate for surgery. This sweet baby, with all the trauma that has been thrown her way, continues to live life to the fullest and has no clue that she is a tich slower moving than her furry pals. Marnie will not need surgery and just needs to be crate rested at this time to allow her body the time it needs to heal. She may always have a funny walk and be more predisposed to arthritis and things of that nature but will go on to live a full and loving life! Marnie was going to be euthanized and after hearing that she essentially gets around just fine we couldn't stand back and watch that happen. This poor girl was clearly on the run for some time as she is literally a bag of bones at only 33 pounds. We would love to get Marnie into a foster or foster to adopt home that is quiet where she can recover and become the best version of herself! She does well with other dogs and cats and is fully house trained. If interested in being a part of this incredible girls journey apply today via our website at www.dustytailsanimalrescue.org

Story
Xander does not like any other dogs!!!! He is fine with dog-savvy cats though. He needs an experienced GSD handler! Very protective and can be unpredictable! He is very good in the house. He has some seperation anxiety issues and will need someone patient in working with him. He is five years old. He is a registered DDR German Shepherd. He is my son's dog but is now staying with me in an apartment until he finds a new home. My son is marrying a lady with two small toddlers and Xander is not good with children, so he needs someone who understands him to give him love. He knows basic commands and a couple of tricks too.
