Story
Meet Rogue! Hi, my name is Rogue but my friends call me Ro Ro. I am a ginger-colored husky mix, and I was born 9/13/2021. I came to the shelter with my brothers and sister, who have all moved onto their forever homes, way back in the fall of 2022. We were born and raised outside and were on our own, our momma did her best to care for us, but these "human" things were totally alien to me until we came to the shelter. I didn't really like them at first, I'd rather spend time hiding with my dog friends in my kennel, but after a while they wore me down with their yummy treats, and my doggy friends helped me see that they aren't too bad. Sometimes, they're even kind of fun to play with. I spent kind of a long time not trusting people, but my friends tell me that good things are worth waiting for. After spending lots of time in the kennels with other dogs, they moved me to this cool new room where I get to run around day and night with my best friends, and lots of new people come to visit me. I've found it's kind of fun to play keep away with the people, and when they give my friends treats, you bet I'm right there with them waiting for mine. I still prefer to be a little more independant than some of the dogs I know, but I've grown really fond of some people when I see them a lot. I think I'm actually ready to find one that I can call "mine" like my friends tell me they want. Some things I really like are toys, for sure, treats, and naps. If I had to pick a favorite toy, I'd probably say stuffed animals. Not that they last long, they're just so fun to tear apart! I also really like rolling around the herding ball they give us, that's pretty fun too. i am smart and will show my new human friends my many tricks i know once im comfortable with them. i know how to sit, lay, give paw, and come. More than anything, I'd love to go to a home with another dog or two, but I definitely want to meet them before I commit to living with them. As far as cats, I love cats! I love cats the same way I love stuffed animals. My people friends say this means I'm not allowed to live with any cats though. The little humans, or "kids", are okay, but I prefer when they're a little bigger and know when I want to be left alone. Anyway, I'm ready to find a home, do you want to help me?  Rogue is fully vetted, spayed, and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $125. Rogue is considered to be a flight risk, so a fully fenced yard is required. Potential adopters may be subject to a home visit.  Interested? Call 615-446-7387. ##1530157##

Story
Meet Spencer!  Spencer is searching for a place of his own to relax and unwind. Spence is a handsome sable-colored German Shepherd mix born roughly 3/16/22, and weighing  in around 65-70lbs. Although he is big and his size can be intimidating, Spencer is really more of a sensitive soul inside. He prefers a quiet, calmer environment to a loud and active scene, and would be happy to be someone's couch companion. He does very well with other dogs, and wouldn't mind having a furry brother or sister in his new home. Of course, if you already have any dogs we always require a meet and greet before sending any pups home. Spencer also doesn't mind cats. If anything, they are a little intimidating to him, so a home with those would be fine for him too. Spencer is a very smart boy, he is starting to respond to his name, walks well on a leash, and knows the "sit" command.  At this time, Spencer is only available for fostering as he has some minor medical issues we are working to correct. If you have any questions, feel free to give us a call or come by our facility to chat. ##1997784##

Story
Meet Hank! This hunk of love is ready for a family of his own. Hank is a handsome German Shepherd mix with an estimated birthday of 06/01/2020. He weighs in at a healthy 60-65lbs, and is a fluffball full of love. Hank sports a unique colored coat, he's a stunning brown and tan beauty! He has the manners of a true gentleman, too, and will win your heart on a whim. He has basic obedience down pat, he knows "sit", walks well on a leash, and has begun responding to his name, too. Hank has done well with everyone he's met of all ages here, and would do very well in a home with kids. He has the natural loyalty that is common in shepherd mixes, once you earn his affection he will always stand up for you! Although he has done well with other dogs here in short meetings, we truly believe he would prefer to be the only dog in the home. Hank has not yet been tested with cats.  Hank is fully vetted and microchipped, but not yet neutered. His adoption fee is $175 + a refundable $75 neuter deposit.  Interested? Call us at 615-446-7387.  ##2098532##
