Story
Zooko’s Story: A Journey of Love and Resilience I met Zooko in western India while conducting PhD research. He was weak and thin, needing food and care. The moment I saw him, he walked straight up to me and climbed into my lap, showing an unusual level of trust for a kitten. Instantly, he stole my heart. I brought him from my field site to Delhi, where we flew together. Though frustrated in his carrier, he never clawed—he’s the gentlest cat I’ve known. Over four months, he’s become playful, affectionate, and healthy. Now nine months old, he’s vaccinated, neutered, microchipped, and thriving. He even endured an 85-hour journey from India to the U.S. with resilience. As a student, I must find Zooko a forever home. He deserves a loving family, and I’ll provide all his belongings, including his favorite sweater and personalized doormat:“All guests must be approved by Zooko.” He’s a special orange tabby kitten and will bring joy to any home with his loving and playful ginger cat energy.
