Story
I`m an outstanding guy looking for an extra special home. My adoption fee is name your own price. I`m available for adoption from my foster home. If you`ve read my bio below and are interested in adopting me, please call the shelter and ask for the Shelter Programs Manager to setup a date/time to meet me.WCHS recommends I go to a home without any other pets or children under 12yr due to my medical history (see below). If you`d like to adopt me and have other pets and children, it is essential that they are calm to keep me stress-free.Intake Reason: Surrendered, unable to keep due to housing situation. Known with: ·Cats: Good-previously lived with a couple other cats of all ages. ·Dogs: Good-previously lived with 3yr Boxer mix. ·Kids: Good-previously lived with children of all ages.Fun Facts About Me:·I`m an affectionate guy who loves cheek rubs. I`m not a huge fan of having my back touched or being picked up due to my arthritis.·I`m very smart and know when my mealtimes are. I will beg for food and/or attention by pawing your leg and meowing.·I`m independent. While I do appreciate the occasional cuddle, I`m a self-sufficient guy who has a busy schedule of sunbathing and window watching.·I`m a couch potato! My foster mom says I love to lay next to her desk chair as she works.·My foster mom says I have perfect litterbox habits but prefer an extra large litterbox.Medical History:·In December 2024 I had a urinary obstruction. Thankfully, my owner caught it and got me to the vet in time. This can be common in male cats and can happen due to high stress levels. To prevent another obstruction, it is imperative that I remain on a prescription urinary diet and that my new home provides a calm, stress-free environment.·I have limited vision. WCHS believes I may still have some level of sight. I get around very well despite this.·I have arthritis. I`m on prescription pain relief and a joint supplement.·I`m on Psyllium, which is full of fiber. This helps me have solid stools.·I will likely need a dental cleaning in the future.I have quite the medical history, especially for a guy that`s only 6 1/2 years old. While this may seem quite daunting, my conditions are absolutely manageable with the proper veterinary care.

Will hide from loud noises and commotion, previously lived with 11, 13 & 15 yr oldPersonality: Zoey is definitely more on the reserved, shy side. She`ll need a lot of extra time to adjust and a patient home to allow her to do so. She has a calm personality until the laser pointers come out, then she goes wild! She`ll need a home that will provide plenty of scratching posts.
