Story
This gorgeous hunky guy has come a long way in puppy bootcamp at his foster mom’s home. Admittedly, he has stolen her heart 💜 Artemis is a little love bug. He would like nothing more than to be your BFF, by your side all day long, doing household chores, running errands, hikes, poolside, wherever and whenever. He especially loves Home Depot and Leslie’s Pool Supply. Artie greets everyone with a smile and a body full of happiness. He’s sensitive boy with a big heart and is looking to be your one and only. Artemis gets along well with other dogs, but he would be perfectly fine as an only child. If there is another dog in the house, they would need to be approximately the same size and age because he can play a little rough at times. He’s completely house broken and will poop on a potty pad if he couldn’t get your attention. His leash skills have improved tremendously and he’s good on walks through the neighborhood. When we go to a store, I attach him to me to make sure he knows I’m his person and that he needs to always look to me for commands. He does get a little scared from time to time so if you can let him know that you’re the Alpha and you’ve got his best interests in mind, he will respond to you beautifully. Artie’s love language includes: Nibbles – He likes when you nibble his cheeks, ears and paws. He will nibble you back😊 Belly Rubs – ALL the time, but especially before bedtime. After the last walk of the night (around 8pm) this is when he turns into a bebe and requires sweet nothings. Treats – Will do and respond to everything when you have treats in hand. Extremely treat motivated. Pup Cups – Yes, Yes, Yes !!!! Outdoorsy – LOVES, LOVES, LOVES being outdoors. He’s inquisitive and basically entertains himself chasing lizards, eating bugs, checking and rechecking the perimeter for anyone and anything that shouldn’t be intruding. Slow Feeder – He loves puzzles and he currently eats from the most difficult slow feeder. Toys – YES to everything that is a challenge and chewable. This guy loves toys! Artie currently sleeps in a crate, but he adapts quickly to sleeping with his BFF, if that’s what you want. He’s a funny little guy and sometimes puts himself to bed when he’s had enough for the day. He’s also a great listener and will show his attentiveness by cocking his head from side-to-side letting you know that he’s hanging onto every word you’re saying. Simply delightful to watch😊 I can’t say enough good things about Artemis. He’s a little baby on one hand, but a rugged little dude on the other. If you are tired of being alone, bored, and love dogs, Artemis would gladly be your forever loyal companion. He’s got it all and he’s ready to be fine-tuned to your life specifications.

Story
Edgar Allan Poe is a sweet pup who loves to run around and play. He is easy going and really just loves to cuddle. He is mostly potty pad trained and trained to do his business out on walks or at the dog park. He does have accidents at first until he figures out his potty/walk routine. Edgar rides well in the car and is content in a dog bed or in someone's lap. He enjoys playing with friendly, playful dogs once he warms up to them. He can be shy at first, but warms up quickly to lots of pets and kisses. He walks well on the leash, especially on his normal walking route. He always has his head to the ground trying to sniff out his new surroundings. In new areas, he can get eager on the leash and pull to the next spot he is interested in. He does well in populated areas, but can bark a few times when he sees a new dog that he wants to go up to and get to know. He listens well to redirection in those situations and quiets down quickly. Edgar enjoys chewing on toys while his foster mom works from home. He is pretty quiet in the home and will entertain himself if everyone is busy. He may bark a couple of times to get his foster family's attention if someone is really knocking on the door. If he can, he loves sleeping in his human's bed and he'll full sploot out with floppy arms on his back. He is also happy sleeping on the floor or in a dog bed. Edgar gives sloppy kisses! He is a very kind dog and a sturdy size to cuddle with children as he doesn't mind when his ears, tail, or legs are tugged on. Edgar would be happy in a home with other dogs or by himself. He ultimately wants a loving family that will match his loving, warm spirit!

Story
Heath is a sweet boy looking for the perfect family to spoil him rotten! His favorite past time is stealing socks, begging for blueberries, and taking long naps cuddled up next to his foster mom. He is friendly, sweet, and great with other dogs and older children. He enjoys short walks around the neighborhood, but prefers his main point of exercise to be in the home playing with toys. He will tolerate gentle brushing/grooming and baths to keep him clean. Heath does have to go out every couple of hours because he has a smaller bladder and cannot hold it for very long. Heath is looking for a loving family to spend the rest of his life with. Heath is easy to carry and take on all outings. He especially loves joining his foster mom on lunch dates and blessing everyone with his cuteness!

Story
Say hello to Hermes, the turbo furbro! Hermes is a dog’s dog. If you’ve ever watched a movie about a mischievous but lovable pooch, then you’ve seen a movie about Hermes. He has three main traits: playful, friendly, and energetic! While on walks, he will beg for attention when walking past other people. Speaking of walks, it will be important to take him on long walks that satiate his curiosity and burn his energy. He also loves to play a lot and has turned some of his toys into cotton clouds. Hermes will need a home with people who can play with him each day, otherwise, his excess energy may cause him to chew on your shoes or steal your food. He is partially pad-trained but will need continued reinforcement to solidify his training. Grooming is new to him, so he’s still getting used to brushing his teeth and fur. He loves people more than other dogs and has a strong instinct to food guard. Even with all his shenanigans, Hermes is an easily lovable dog, and it’s hard to believe he almost didn’t make it safely out of the shelter he was at. All in all, Hermes is a loving dog, looking for a forever home with loving parents just like him.

Story
James Joyce is a sweet and cuddly pup! He loves to go up to his human and wrap his arms around their leg as he gets his head scratched. James also loves to run around and play. He is easy going and really just loves to cuddle. He is currently working on pottying out on walks or at the dog park, but he is good going in the backyard. He does have accidents at first until he figures out his potty/walk routine. James rides well in the car and is content in a dog bed or in someone's lap. He is not a fan of super long rides and can get car sick if he spends over an hour in the car. He enjoys playing with friendly, playful dogs once he warms up to them. He can be shy at first, but warms up quickly to lots of pets and kisses. If you sit on the ground, he will happily walk into your lap for pets. He walks well on the leash, especially on his normal walking route. He always has his head to the ground trying to sniff out his new surroundings. In new areas, he can get eager on the leash and pull to the next spot he is interested in. He is a slower walker and prefers leisurely walks over quick-paced ones. He does well in populated areas, but can pull ocassionally when he sees a new dog that he wants to go up to and get to know. He listens well to redirection in those situations and will keep on walking. James enjoys chewing on toys while his foster mom works from home or laying on a cooling mat. He is pretty quiet in the home and will entertain himself if everyone is busy. He may bark a couple of times to get his foster family's attention if someone is really knocking on the door, though, he is pretty darn quiet for the most part. If he can, he loves sleeping in his human's bed and he'll full sploot out with floppy arms on his back. He is also happy sleeping on the floor or in a dog bed. James likes nuzzling his head into your arms whenever he is wanting cuddles. He likes to hug his humans back! He is a very kind dog and a sturdy size to cuddle with children as he doesn't mind when his ears, tail, or legs are tugged on. James Joyce would be happy in a home with other dogs or by himself. He ultimately wants a loving family that will match his loving, sweet spirit!

Story
Hemmy is an energetic little guy with a heart of gold, who loves walks outside, playing fetch with his favorite toy (a squeaky baguette!) and hunting for blueberries around the house! When at home, he loves to be near his person wherever they are, and will rest quietly nearby, until you’re ready to go out for walks! Walks are amazing and might even rate higher than blueberries for Hemmy. He sets a pretty fast pace and loves exploring. While he may stop to sniff trees, he very easily moves on with a little nudge for “leave it” from his human. He is house trained and will sometimes stare at the leash if he would like to go out, but generally just waits until before meal time. Likely because of his love of the outdoors, Hemmy has honed his skills as an escape artist, so his new humans should plan to take care when coming and going! He is growing comfortable with the crate as well, but prefers to be close to his humans if allowed. Hemmy is unbothered by loud noises (lawn mowers, leaf blowers, vacuums) but very protective of himself, his toys, and people who he perceives may be in danger of being harmed, by fingers. He also gets very upset when he hears human cries, screams or fighting on the tv. His confidence is growing, he’s become much more comfortable in a short time, and is very communicative with his foster about when it’s ok to touch him, and when he prefers to have his space. His new humans should be patient, consistent with communication, and in tune with his cues to continue to build trust and his sense of safety. He’s also beginning to open up with new people and faces as well, but needs to be carefully monitored with to ensure he feels safe, and that his space is respected. Because of his fear of fingers and rapid movement, it’s best for Hemmy to be in a child free home. Above all, Hemmy is an academic who loves to learn, and with very little training has already leaned “sit,” “stay,” and “touch”. He enjoys his training sessions and works so hard to do a good job! He is likely a great candidate to agility training and other types of tricks! He loves to meet and greet other dogs on walks (except Frenchie’s) and is very playful with them. He’s also very happy when he visits the neighbors cats, and approaches them calmly. He’d likely be so happy in a home with another dog or cats as playmates.
