Story
Denver is a little Pomeranian Chihuahua mix (PomCHi) who was ONCE a stray on the streets. He was suffering from lack of food and his coat was falling out in patches. Gradually months of good food and a bubbly bath and haircut his bald spots have filled in and the Fluff is coming back in his super soft coat. His tail is a little raggedy but is beginning to fill in too. His soulful eyes tell you his story of loneliness and neglect only a neglected dog can tell. Now Denver is friendly happy and playful and loves to eat his breakfast and supper, gobbling down Fresh Pet which is his favorite along with Chicken I cook for him. We think he is about 10-12 pounds and 8 yrs old , He has a bit of arthritis going on in his back legs but it does not hinder him in any way. HE IS NOT TOO HIGH ENERGY AND WILL MAKE A GREAT LAP DOG AS A SENIOR COMPANION. This small dog will be a wonderful companion for anyone who will give back all the love he will bestow on you. He loves to go outside, will potty and come back in.. We had him checked by our vet and he now has all his shots, neutered and microchipped. His Adoption fee is $250. Please ask for our adoption application by emailing Alphadogpetrescue@Yahoo.com DENVER IS IN FOSTER CARE NEAR RANCHO CUCAMONGA

Story
Meet Pori! She is the sweetest most adorable girll! She is a 6 year old that was rescued from a dog meat farm in South Korea.  We have partners we work with there that pull these dogs from the worst horrors imaginable.  Many of these dogs start off in horrific puppy mill type facilities on tiny rabbit cage size wire crates in complete filth.  If they are not sold at 6 or 8 weeks then they either stay for a couple years to be used to breed more and then are sold off to the meat trade, or they are sold off right away.  Jindo's and Tosa's are the most common meat type dogs, and are very commonly bred specifically for their meat and the meat farms also act as breeding farms until they reach a good age and weight. South Korea is one of the only countries that actually farms dogs for their meat.   Many restaurants will serve a dish called " bosintang ", which stands for "dog meat soup". It's a popular dish in South  Korea,  and is said to act as an aphrodisiac for men.    Little dogs are used for elixirs and potions.  The younger generation is mostly against this practice and many choose to not eat them, and we can only hope in time with education and generations of change that an end will come to this horrific trade.  Pori and some of her family and friends have been flown here for a chance at a future and a real life.  These are miracle dogs that they are alive today.  Our adoption fee is $600 which helps offset some of the flight costs.  If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application form at  https://form.jotform.com/oscarlucy/dog-adoption-app August 12, 2024, 1:25 am

Story
Meet Ben This is Ben. We rescued him from @seaaca - he had zero interest because of his behavior, this high kill shelter noted. He was sure to be euthanized but we wouldn't let that happen. @travishuntproductions drove to save him before they took him away from the world forever. Our wonderful foster mama and papa opened their arms and home to this scared little boy. He quickly warmed up and has been a joy thus far. He likes to nap. Ben loves little toys. He's ok with other dogs, fully potty trained and crate trained. Ben walks well on his leash. He's happy and playful and needs someone extremely loving to be his furever person. Ben's neuter surgery is scheduled for 8/21. He's up to date on vax. Microchipped. He's a very small pup: maybe a long haired Chihuahua / Pomeranian mix. His tail tells a story of its own! if you're interested in adopting Ben please send your inquiry to our email address info@concernedcitizensanimalrescue.org and we will promptly send over an application. These amazing babies usually get adopted quickly so if you are interested, please don't hesitate to contact us. #adoptdontshop #pomeranian #chihuahua #smallbreed #fosteringsaveslives #actnow
