Looks like: Pomeranian/Papillon mix Male, 7 years old (estimated), 11 pounds Frisco is an irresistible black and tan-colored creampuff! This sweet pom pom mix is full of energy, friendly with new people, and loves going for walks. He is affectionate, gives kisses constantly, and follows his person around like it's his part time job. He's a big fan of any toys that make noise and getting treats for being the very best boy. His fosters lovingly call him Freddy Mercury as he sings and dances for dinner. This sweet little fella's ideal home is with dogs that will respect his space and boundaries or as a solo pup. He would also do just fine in a home with a dog savvy cat after a controlled introduction. He is in foster with two small dogs and four cats that he coexists just fine with. He has also met chickens but doesn't really pay them any mind. Frisco is working on his leash walking skills and is very eager to train whenever treats are involved. Charming Frisco came to us from Hitchcock Road Animal Services so we could give him a much needed dental cleaning and find him a forever home.

Looks like: Papillon mix Female, 11 years old (estimated), 17 pounds Sprinkles is a true companion. She's happiest when she gets to be by your side. This sweet and gentle pup can take a moment to warm up, but when she does, she wants nothing more than to pepper you with kisses and love. This little ball of love just wants to be your furever friend. This sweet girl is currently overweight and has trouble getting around, both due to her size and possible arthritis. She is currently being evaluated to try and help her get her mobility back. Though she struggles with a lot of movement, she does sometimes get some short bursts of energy. Sprinkles is a very people-friendly dog. Before placing her in a home with children, we'd like to be sure all interactions were monitored and young kids were respectful. Sprinkles may do well as the only apple of your eye, but she may also do well with another mellow pup, especially as Sprinkles does not like to be left home alone. Sprinkles came to us from Sacramento County Animal Shelter so that we could help with her medical needs.

Looks like: Pomeranian mix Male, 10 years old (estimated), 16 pounds This sweet and mellow little lad is a perfectly polite companion who likes to slowly follow you around the house until he knows that everyone has settled in. Then, he will find a comfortable dog bed for a peaceful nap. He appreciates gentle head and ear scratches and is slowly learning that it is okay to trust, receive love and be someone's most precious buddy. Gromit is curious and observant, enjoys sniffing around the yard, going for short leisurely walks and coming along on rides in the car. He cherishes regular meals, a couple of well-timed treats and a home that is predictable and quiet. Although he prefers when his human companions are around, he is also fine when left home alone for a little while. Gromit gets along well with other dogs and would benefit from a canine companion in the home. His foster family reports that he is also perfectly polite around cats. This adorable and well-mannered gentleman went through a bit of a rough patch before arriving at POMDR, and he is definitely ready to catch up on loads of TLC and a pampered pom lifestyle. He is currently on medication for liver support, but is otherwise in good shape. Gromit joined us from Contra Costa Animal Services after they reached out because the shelter was over capacity.
