Story
Meet Bella Bells, the snuggliest puppy you'll ever meet! This little lady is a 6 month pomeranian/ Chihuahua mix, weighing 4 pounds. She is being fostered in Houston, Texas and available for transport to the Pacific Northwest and Northeast. Favorite pastimes include making herself comfortable right under your chin or nestled in your chest. The way to her heart is through kisses and belly scratches, Confident and vocal, Bella is quick to let everyone know she’s around. Bella is a delightful mix of playfulness and relaxation, with bursts of puppy energy balanced by her love for cuddles. Bella mirrors the room's energy—she's lively during playtime but transforms into a cozy cuddle buddy during quiet moments. Bella is very social, loves playing with other dogs, and has a playful style that's active and engaging. She’d thrive with other dogs with proper introductions. She’s used to living with a Jack Russell mix and barks at big dogs because her brother does. Bella has lived with kids aged 2-9, showing patience with toddlers but preferring older children who have been taught proper boundaries with dogs like respecting her space and readingher cues (which is what all dogs need). Road trips? This girl is a confident adventurer, happy to go on errands. She has traveled extensively and enjoys car rides. She would love joining you on morning coffee runs, dropping the kids at school or to grab ice cream treats. Bella is puppy pad trained and working on going outside, with a good track record on a consistent schedule. She enjoys her kennel but needs frequent breaks for potty time. Bella is adaptable to living in a condo or apartment with proper exercise. Bella is a puppy, so her new family will need to be prepared to work on training with her. She is eager to learn new tricks, preferring people food like chicken over dog treats for training. If you're ready to bring home a confident, affectionate, and playful pup, Bella Bells is waiting to fill your life with snuggles and joy! *The adoption fee for this dog will allow up to continue to save heartworm positive dogs, animals that need surgeries, and bully breeds that are more difficult to adopt out. This is the feedback we tend to get, although we cannot guarantee perfect health. *To fully vet a dog in the PNW at many vets it would be upwards of $1,800 just to fix, vaccinate, chip, etc. The adoption fees charged by our rescue do not cover our expenses medically for each animal, but we offset costs with donations. Your adoption fee is considered a donation towards actual costs. Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We provide weekly socialization programs for our dogs through playgroups and group leash training classes available to all dogs in our adoption program, and Doggy Sleepover, Doggy Day Out, and Ambassador programs for our boarding dogs. There is a professional dog trainer on staff to provide support for our fosters and dogs, and an off-site dog trainer for dogs that need more extensive behavior modification. This helps us learn deeply about every dog, prepare them for adoption, and ultimately match them with loving families. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.) • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! We celebrated our 6 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 14,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes. Follow our rescue journey through the links below! https://www.threelittlepittiesrescue.org/ https://www.facebook.com/threelittlepittiesrescue https://www.instagram.com/threelittlepittiesrescue *Due to the rising cost of fuel and transportation expenses, there will be an additional $74 surcharge for transport. Story
Teddy was purchased for $2500 from a breeder in Salem. I had hoped to use him as a therapy dog for our care home for seniors. Unfortunately, his personality doesn’t work as a therapy dog. He instead fits the role of family dog. Our business keeps me busy & I haven’t been able to e-collar train him like I should. He does alert us when he needs to pee outside, sleeps in his crate, is great traveling in a car, knows sit, down, shake, spin commands, plays well with most other dogs, plays with our cat & is good with kids. E-collar training will help greatly with his need to bark at strangers at door, UPS truck, etc. He barks at first when you have a guest, then calms down, but for some reason when they go to leave he again barks at them, I had hoped to help these behaviors through an e-collar.
