Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Fostering is a very important part of rescue because it allows more animals to be saved. There is a capacity on how many dogs Peace Love & Poms Rescue can have at one time and sadly we can’t save every dog that needs our help. Every foster home that welcomes a foster dog, opens a space at the rescue so that another dog can be saved.  Fostering also provides an in-home experience, which makes the dog that much more adaptable.  Fostering is extremely rewarding and you are helping to save innocent lives.  PA Kennel License 17652 Lebanon, PAVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 5, 2024, 12:46 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Pogo is a stunning black and tan Pomsky who has found himself in several homes in his short life. In one home he did have a shock collar used which left him with a wound on his neck that has long since healed. He is 3 years old and weighs 20 pounds. Pogo takes time to adjust to a new home and new people so you must have patience during the transition phase. He will also need a spot that is his safety zone whether a crate or room that is designated for him to use when he gets scared or overwhelmed. This provides a healthy way for him to leave situations and calm himself. This boy is smart and HIGHLY ENERGETIC! Pogo does require a fenced yard as he needs a space to burn off his energy. He would be perfect for competitive agility or lure coursing because he is fast, healthy, and agile. Pogo needs a very active home that will fulfill his physical and mental needs. This boy is also HILARIOUS! He is so quirky, fun, and is sure to make you laugh everyday. Pogo is great with other playful dogs too; he plays just right with the super small furkids and the big furkids like him. He also loves to get the other dogs to chase him, that is his happiest time when he is in the lead with dogs on his heals. The downside to Pogo is he has a lack of impulse control so he likes to get into things (this is a work in progress), but a quick squeak of a ball and toss, he will drop what he is doing to fetch. He is also reactive to new people which is all vocal, but it can be scary for the person so he will need continued socialization and positive reinforcement to overcome his fear. In fact, once he bonds to his human he listens well and focuses on them which makes for a great time being out and about without him having issues. He is great for grooming with a little calming medication and the same for vet visits. He does enjoy car rides, and he has learned how to use a crate properly too. So if you are looking for a wild child, who needs a little help broadening his horizon then Pogo is the boy for you! We have sure enjoyed having him here in rescue, but it is time for him to find his forever home... To adopt Pogo, please complete an adoption application at peacelovepoms.rescuegroups.org. The $350 adoption donation includes core vaccines (Rabies, Parvo/Distemper, and Bordatella), Accuplex (Heart worm and Lyme test), bloodwork, fecal, microchip, neuter, and all the love and laughs you can handle! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Miwak who is looking for his happily ever after! Miwak came to us from the NYACC a bag of bones, bald, and smelling of death. He was in such terrible condition we actually thought he was a Chinese Crested with severe skin allergies, but a DNA quickly showed that he is a Pomeranian with 9% Poodle in there. Turns out Miwak was suffering from EPI (Exocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency), allergies, and a skin infection. We got him fixed up, on prescription food with added enzymes, and poof a fluffy coat appeared! He will need to stay on a prescription diet with added enzymes for life as well as a few medications for allergies, but besides that he is a healthy estimated 7 year old, 14 pound boy ready for a home of his own. Miwak has been sick for a long time so now that he is feeling better, he acts like a playful puppy again. He loves toys, walks, and other furry playmates to romp with. He does like to lift his leg and claim everything as his, but a bellyband is a simple tool to keep that pee contained while he continues working on housetraining. Miwak is shy with new people but after a few minutes he will be your best friend! This guy is truly a unique looking boy with so much life and love to share.... he just needs a family to do it with. Will that be you? To adopt Miwak, please complete an adoption application at peacelovepoms.rescuegroups.org. The $350 adoption donation ($250 for senior citizens 65+) includes core vaccines (Rabies, Parvo/Distemper, and Bordatella), Accuplex (Heart worm and Lyme test), fecal, microchip, bloodwork, neuter, dental, and all the love you can handle! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Eddie is a 22lb, 14 year old Pomeranian and lab mix who is pretty spry for an old guy. Aside from being a professional napper, he loves a good trot through his foster mom's fenced backyard. Eddie is very quiet and only barks if he is unhappy with a visitor or situation, such as another dog getting into his personal space. For this reason Eddie would thrive in a home as an only dog. He takes some time to warm up, but given space, he will seek out your attention and lean into you for pets and belly rubs. Eddie is food driven and loves his treats after coming inside from going potty. While Eddie walks well on a leash and doesn't pull, a fenced yard is best since he doesn't love all other dogs. Eddie is vision impaired, but can see well enough to navigate furniture and steps. He also has a keen ear for plastic food wrappers. If you have a quiet, relaxed vibe in your home, Eddie would be a perfect companion for you. Eddie's coat is more like a lab and only requires regular brushing, as opposed to regular grooming like poms. He has had a recent dental, with only 6 remaining teeth, but he does well with eating small kibble. This senior boy is just looking for a comfy spot to reside for the rest of his days. To adopt Eddie, please complete an adoption application at peacelovepoms.rescuegroups.org. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Lenny is an adorable, toothless, 10 year old 10 pound boy that is tiny despite his weight. He was a breeding stud his entire life and never saw a vet before coming to us. Unfortunately he lived in pain until his teeth fell out. He also suffered from Lyme disease that he is finishing treatment for and is feeling fantistic already. His knee caps are also fused out if place so he takes supplements to help. Lenny is sweet, loves other dogs, loves people, loves food, and is enjoying his new freedom from living in a home of filth. Lenny is leash trained, enjoys car rides, and he is a gentlemen for grooming and vetting. We see so much improvement with Lenny since he first arrived. He is acting like a puppy again now that he is feeling better. He is getting better about potty habits since his neuter, but belly bands will be needed until hes fully trained to mark things. Even though Lenny has some minor health thinhs, he is truely a wonderful little guy who deserves a life of love. Now all he needs is his forever family! To adopt Lenny, please complete an adoption application at peacelovepoms.rescuegroups.org. The $350 adoption application ($250 for senior citizens 65+) includes core vaccines (Rabies, Parvo/Distemper, and Bordatella), Accuplex (Heart worm and Lyme test), fecal, microchip, bloodwork, neuter, and all the love you can handle! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Zoey is a tiny 8 pound, 7 year old Pomeranian Corgi mix looking for her happily ever after. This little lady is strong willed thanks to her breed mixes, but she sure is beautiful with so many great qualities to offer. Zoey is house trained, leash trained but would do best with a fenced yard, loves cat rides, loves other small dogs, and loves her duty of patrol and alert dog of any suspicious looking things happening outside her home. Nothing gets past her and there is no missing her unique alert barks either. Zoey takes time to warm up to a new place and new people, but once she does, she is attached! She would be okay with kids visiting, but not living with them full time as that was part of the reason she was surrendered. Zoey doesn't enjoy the vet, or grooming so a little sedative before these stressful events is key to keeping her calm and cool. If you are looking for a big personality in a tiny package then cutie pie is just the girl for you! To adopt Zoey, please complete an adoption application at peacelovepoms.rescuegroups.org. The $350 adoption donation ($250 for senior citizens 65+) includes core vaccines (Rabies, Parvo/Distemper, and Bordatella), Accuplex (Heart worm and Lyme test), fecal, microchip, bloodwork, spay, dental, and all the love you can handle!
