Meet Jesper – The Perfect Siberian Husky!Have you ever wanted a well-known dog breed but never thought to check the shelter? Well, here is Jesper! The most perfect Siberian Husky, who is very well-mannered and the ideal candidate to be your new companion.Jesper has many talents that will make you question how this sweet boy ended up in a shelter. His best trick, which seems to be his personal favorite, is playing cuddle on the couch! Although he is a larger dog, he’ll happily take up all your space just like a small lap dog would—but who doesn’t love cuddles from a big, fluffy pup? Another one of Jesper’s favorites is his “happy circles.” These are his way of letting you know he has to potty, wants his food, or simply wants to play and receive all your love and affection.Jesper also knows several commands including sit, paw, down, stay, fetch, and catch, but his absolute favorite is catching ice cubes! His favorite toys are any bone or ball, and he loves to sneak a snack off the counter when no one’s looking—but who can blame him? We’ve all thought about taking that delicious meal off the counter for ourselves!During his time in foster care, Jesper has had the chance to experience many things. He’s the most laid-back and loving Husky, but like all dogs, he has some personal preferences. Jesper loves playing with his foster brothers, a Golden Retriever and a Mini Australian Shepherd. However, he’s also been known to plot making his kitten sister his next meal! Like most Huskies, he enjoys chasing squirrels and birds on his walks—it’s just in his nature. Some people may know that Huskies are very vocal, and Jesper loves to sing his loudest songs when he’s in his crate. He’s also an impressive escape artist if left in a crate, unless he’s eating. However, Jesper does wonderfully when left out alone, as he is fully potty trained. Just imagine how you’d feel being stuck in a crate after living in one for months. When his favorite snacks are out of sight and reach, Jesper is on his best behavior and will become the perfect watch dog when he gets the whole house to himself.Jesper has had some minor medical issues in the past due to malnourishment. As a 60-pound dog breed, he was initially only 30 pounds, which led to some stomach issues. However, he continues to improve each day as he reaches a healthier weight. He has tested negative for all medical screenings performed by the CAA veterinary team and is growing heal
