Story
Hi. My name is Poppy, and I am a Pug/Chihuahua mix.  I am 14 months old, weigh about nine pounds and everyone says I am cute as a button and full of personality. I love to play, take walks, ride in the car, and snuggle. I have a lot of foster mutt siblings at my foster home. I like most of them, but one is really big. Foster mama says he weighs thirty pounds! She tells me he is very friendly, but I am not so sure of that, so I have to show him who’s boss. Foster mama says I can be protective of my favorite human around the other resident mutts. She says it's understandable because I didn't have the easiest past and so I want to make sure I keep tabs on the nice humans.  My best fit forever family or human would be a patient and loving adult or adults, maybe with another dog my size.  I like treats, lots of cuddles, and sleeping curled up with my human. I also like to go wherever my human is going. Sometimes I dash out the door in excitement, but I come back when mama calls. My new family will have to understand that I am just a little thing. The world can be scary, and I need to show how brave and fierce I am. (Mama says that is the Chihuahua in me.) If you're interested in adopting Poppy, please fill out an adoption application here: https://underdogsrescue.org/adopt-form/ Underdogs is a small volunteer-based animal rescue and we unfortunately do not have the resources to respond to phone and email inquires about our adoptable animals at this time. It may take up to two weeks for application review and one of our coordinators will reach out to you as soon as we are through the intitial review process. Story
Togo is a 4MO Pug mix (we are guessing) weighing about 11lbs.  We are guessing he is going to be about 20-25lbs when full grown.  Togo was found in Kansas, abandoned with 2 other siblings in a field.  They were in a common dumping area so we know they were clearly dumped.  24 hours after finding the 3 pups we found another dog in the same area, who the shelter named Skade. We cannot say for sure, but we are guessing that Skade was their dad because they are all very similar in looks.  Togo and his two brothers, Finn and Moose are wonderful little pups.  They love to zoom around the fosters yard and rough house with each other - like all young pups.  They are very social and happy.  Togo would love to go to a home with another dog to play with and humans to snuggle and love.  He doesn't have to go a home with another dog as long as he gets good exercise and mental stimulation like all dogs do.  While we are guessing they are Pug mixes these cuties would still be great adventure buddies.  They will be the perfect size for adventures and for snuggly lap-dog days. If you are interested in adopting Togo or one of his siblings, please fill out our adoption application at brighterdaysdogrescue.com ##2300330##

Story
** If you are interested in adopting Ginger, please fill out our adoption application at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/ ** Meet Ginger, a 15-pound, 4 year old bundle of love who’s ready to find her forever home! She is believed to be a Pug / Chihuahua mix. Ginger was picked up as a stray in Texas during a cold spell, but despite her tough start, she remains as friendly and warm-hearted as can be. No one came to reclaim her, so now she’s on a journey to find a family that will cherish her forever. Ginger has the sweetest personality - she is gentle, loves to give kisses, even if she just met you, and is just so so sweet. Here is what her foster had to say about her: From foster: * * * * "Ginger is settling into the home beautifully and showing her sweet, loving personality! She’s a super cuddly girl who just wants to be close to her people—She is my little shadow, always following me from room to room. She’s also proving to be well-mannered, fully house-trained (only one accident so far on day 1!), and even knows some commands like “down” and has pretty good recall when not distracted. While she’s still a bit nervous on a leash, she absolutely loves running around the backyard, playing a bit of fetch, and getting the zoomies—it's adorable to watch! She’s also very comfortable in her crate and will go in on her own for naps. Ginger seems to have had some training and love in her past, and I think she was well loved at one point." * * * * This little lady is as gentle and adaptable as they come—great with people, kids, (only tested with kids 12 and up) and other dogs. Whether you’re looking for a walking buddy, a cuddle partner, or a playful friend for your pup, Ginger will fit right in. A (virtual or in-person) positive reinforcement group training class promotes great behavior, bonding and confidence for a young dog whose self-esteem will fly high while she masters her skills. Training is so important in the future behaviors of every dog. It's for this reason that we're unwilling to adopt to a family that doesn't make this loving choice. Farfel's is happy to provide a list of both in-person and virtual positive reinforcement / force- free trainers in your area. Our training requirement is to help every adoption be successful. Ginger has been fully vetted, is up to date on her vaccines, and spayed. Farfel's Rescue is a fully foster based rescue, and offers a one week trial with every adoption. We feel that this is much more beneficial to not only the dog, but the adopter too. We believe that only getting 20-30 minutes with a dog before deciding on a lifetime commitment is not a fair amount of time to the adopter, or the dog. Therefore we give adopters one week with the dog to assure it is the right fit, and offer a full refund of their adoption fee should it not workout within the week trial. Farfel's Rescue has been doing adoptions this way since 2005 and is thrilled to adopt out ~400 dogs each year. If you are interested in adopting from us, please be sure to fill out our adoption application at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/ . **PLEASE NOTE** If you're truly interested in adopting from us, please be sure to fill out our Farfel's Rescue adoption application.
