Story
Maggie Mae aka Margo is an adoption return in need of a foster or foster to adopt home as soon as possible.    Below is some information provided to us from her adoptive family. Although it was 4 years ago that she was in foster care with us,, she did do very well with the resident dog in her foster home. Her adoptive family has stated she can be dog selective and does also seem to want to be more of a loner than an integral part of the family dynamic as a whole.   Margo is an incredibly low maintenance dog. Providing her with food, water, and land to roam, explore and protect, and she is in heaven. Her navy-seal level alertness and observation skills are amazing, and she takes SO much pride in protecting our family and land. Her happiest times have been off leash, walking by my side, in rivers, lakes, and large parks, that were quiet. She went off to school for 5 weeks, where she learned to heal, sit, and stay, while walking on her owner’s left side. But being that she is a free spirit, she doesn’t like leashes, and prefers to roam and explore at her own pace and discretion.  https://www.rescuecrew.org/how-to-become-a-foster.html   ##1994159##

Story
Meet Merida, a brave and resilient 3.5-month-old puppy who was surrendered to a local shelter back in early June. She came in with a rare skin disorder known as "puppy strangles," but thanks to The Rescue Crew, she's been receiving the medical care she needs and is recovering beautifully. Merida is a lively and energetic pup, weighing in at around 20 pounds. She loves doing zoomies around the yard and enjoys chewing on her toys. She's pretty good about not chewing on things she shouldn't, though a gentle reminder now and then helps. This smart girl is excellent at letting you know when she needs to go outside, and she goes into her kennel without hesitation. Merida enjoys going on walks and meeting new people. She's good with other dogs, but we haven't had the chance to see how she is with cats yet. Merida is ready to find her forever home where she can continue to thrive and bring joy with her playful and loving nature. If you're looking for a sweet, spirited companion who will fill your days with fun and love, Merida is the perfect match for you! ##2073733##

Story
Meet Blanco, a beautiful white German Shepherd whose love language is grooming (acts of service). Though he is only 5, Blanco has an old soul and firmly believes he has earned the right to baths, brushing, and pedicures. He loves being groomed so much that he will hop into the bathtub on his own and wait for the pampering to begin! Blanco's foster family includes various animals, such as dogs, cats, and chickens. Blanco gets along well with other dogs and is doing well with cats, though he is very curious. He would be fine with cats who are okay with being poked by a giant nose, but might be too excited by cats who run from dogs. Blanco has caught, but not harmed, more than one chicken, so smaller critters aren't in his future. While Blanco is doing great with the human kiddos in the home, he needed some time to feel safe and comfortable around them. It seems he likes to get to know people a little before getting too cozy with them. Fair enough, Blanco! His mama must have taught him all about stranger danger. Once he is familiar with a person, they are accepted into Blanco's space, especially if they bring grooming supplies! If you want a companion who loves going for a nice sniff walk followed by an evening of pampering, Blanco is the guy for you. Complete an application to meet him below!   If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please an Adoption Request Form. This is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract. To learn more about The Rescue Crew adoption process and the care our foster animals receive, please visit our Adoption Process page on our official website.  All companion animals adopted by The Rescue Crew are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on age appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLK (cats) or heartworm (dogs), microchipped, dewormed and provided with monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives prior to adoption.  The Rescue Crew is a foster based rescue organization, meaning all of our adoptable pets are located in homes throughout Minnesota. We do not have a physical location where you can stop by to visit the animals - we require the completion of an Adoption Application prior to meeting any of our adoptable pets in foster care. For the most complete information regarding this animal, and all of our adoptable pets, please ensure you are visiting our website directly at www.RescueCrew.org. You can also access the necessary online adoption application here as well. Age and breed are based on veterinarian and intake professional’s recommendation and not guaranteed as a rescue animal’s history is often unknown. ##2092535##

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.      Hello, wonderful souls! I'm Peter, your soon-to-be charming companion! I'm a very handsome Miniature Poodle, and I'm discovering the joys of comfort and love in my foster home. Each day brings me more confidence, and I'm eager to share my overflowing love with a special someone—maybe that's you! I am a bit timid, sudden movements, commotion, and loud noises still make me a bit uneasy. However, I'm getting better at facing these fears every day. When foster mom is still, I'm all about those loving pets and cuddles. But if she's on the move, I keep my distance—I even bolt if she walks toward me. I know commands like "outside" and "stop," and leash and potty training are still on my to-learn list. I'm 95% potty trained, especially with a consistent routine. A fenced yard is a must for my adventurous spirit. I'd love to have a canine companion to show me the ropes, help me 'dog' properly, and boost my confidence. We're working on some manners, and my foster pals are excellent teachers. Walking on a leash needs some practice, and a confident pal by my side would be perfect. Despite being easily startled and a bit hand-shy, I've found joy in playing with toys, furry friends, and even those mysterious creatures called cats. I'm all about giving kisses, nibbling fingers, and enjoying ear scratches. Zoomies are my specialty, especially in the fenced yard or on the stairs. I've got some manners to polish up, like waiting for my turn and distinguishing between toys and household items – hee hee! I really am a sweet boy who is simply looking for the patience, unconditional love, and security that I SO richly deserve from my own fur-ever family! I really hope that YOU will be my new family because my heart is overflowing with love that I want to share with someone very special! Love, Peter *Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders.  Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared.  Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption.  This will be at the adopters expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses .   Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue.   Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in th eir forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a    particular dog whose bio states those needs and do not currently have them, please understand that your home might not be the right fit.  Please use the filter on our Adoptable Dogs page to find the perfect match for your home.     ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there***  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.If you have other questions about me you can email Underdog Rescue at <inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com> ADOPTION EVENTS:      Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.    Hi there! I'm Heston, a 2-year-old male Poodle weighing in at 10 pounds. At first, I might seem a bit shy around new people and situations, but once I get comfortable, I'm a playful and cuddly little guy. I'm really smart and curious, always eager to learn and explore. I’ve been learning about trust and now I’m more apt to stay put than run, when approached.  Once I’m picked up I just melt right in for love.  That’ll likely be my personality all the time once I know you’re my people.  I’ve just started sleeping on my foster’s leg and inching my way up to hopefully a lap soon. I do have a fear of thunderstorms, so during those loud, stormy nights, I might need some extra comfort. I haven't been around young kids yet, but I think I'd do great with respectful children who understand how to be gentle and kind to me. Potty training is a work in progress for me. I’m trying hard to follow along and go potty outside but as close as I am to getting the hang of it, I might need a little transition time to learn it at my forever home too. I'm not the biggest fan of leashes and new things can make me nervous, so a fenced yard is a must for me. I've been on occasional walks, though, and I do know the command for “stay” which is what I’m told when they want to wrangle me in the harness.  I get along well with other dogs of all sizes, and while I don't need another dog in the house, having a furry friend to play with would be fantastic. I'm usually pretty quiet, except when the other pups start barking or when it's time for breakfast and dinner – then I might join in the chorus. One of my best qualities? I'm a world-class cuddler. I love nothing more than spending all day being held or sitting on a lap, soaking up all the love and affection. If you're looking for a sweet, but timid companion who is learning to be braver everyday and promises to adore you endlessly, I'm your pup! *Please note tha t some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders.
