Maggie and Star MUST be adopted together. There are NO exceptions.
Adoption Fee: $1100 for the pair
Big and Beautiful. That's what Ragdolls are. Maggie and Star are from the same Pedigreed Ragdoll Cattery as the cats Ragmop, Minnie, Blue Bear, Rory, Winnie and Lassi on our adopted cats page. The cattery's owner asked us to help find homes for some of her cats. These cats are treasures.
Maggie and Star are best friends. Their photo's show how they like to nuzzle be close to each other. We wanted to be sure they their lives together in their new home. Both are quite large kitties and both are "white mitted" which is to say they have white feet.
Star was named for the little white blaze between her eyes, her coloring is a light brown called "Blue" in show circles. Maggie is a high drama kitty with dark seal legs, ears, tail and face setting off her creamy body. Both kitties have very full and lush ruffs around their necks and great plumes for tails.
Yes these kitties have lots of "floof" -fluffy hair- but fear not, unlike other long haired kitties Ragdoll hair is remarkably easy to care for. Their coats do not have the cottony undercoat which matt easily that you find on Persians for example. These girl kitties don't need much brushing though they do like it. Of course it is a pleasure to run your hands though their super soft fur and once they know you they like being petted and fussed with.
These are good natured, mellow kitties which is exactly what Ragdolls are known for. Star is a bit shy at first. Maggie has more moxie. She is a bit older 4 yrs to Star's 3, so maybe she is the big sister of the pair. These two want what almost all Ragdolls prefer which is a quiet peaceful home with devoted humans who have time to spend with them. They are cat friendly to non dominant, easygoing kitties. I don't know how they would feel about dogs. They would be fine with children as long as the home is fairly quiet. They are emotionally connected to their humans and are happiest in a calm and quiet home.
Maggie and Star are healthy, social, loving, beautiful kitties. They use their box. They eat wet and dry food. Their absolute favorite treat is deboned and skinned Costco Rotisserie Chicken cut into tiny pieces. Costco brines their chicken and humans and cats alike love that salty taste. Just don't give them too much at a time. No matter what they say.
Some family will be so lucky to have the companionship of these two treasures.
Maggie and Star eat wet and dry food and are litterbox-perfect.
Maggie is spayed, vaccinated, FELV tested, dewormed, and microchipped.
She is fostered by Harriet in Santa Cruz.
Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue is dedicated to matching exceptional cats with qualified adopters who will cherish their pet and create an ideal forever home.
If you believe you are the perfect adopter for Maggie (and Star) please tell us why in the comments section of our Adoption Application, and contact Harriet at harrietluvskitties@yahoo.com If you are unable to reach Harriet please email us at info@purebredsplus.org.
NOTE: We prefer families with children bring them to the adoption appointment. Why? This allows interaction between the children and the cat. This helps ensure they will be a good fit for each other. A mismatch between a child and a cat is not in anyone's best interests!
