Story
Speedy is a beautiful brown & black tabby. He is a very affectionate cat that loves to spend time cuddling with his humans and will do best in a single cat household or maybe with a family. Speedy lost his home after my mom passed away and my father was no longer able to care for him. After some relocating, Speedy is now looking for his forever home with a loving family that can shower him with affection. He can be a bit shy at first, but he has a big heart that makes him attached to those around him. He is an athletic cat that loves to play. Some of his favorite toys are strings, rattling mice and catnip sticks. He loves eating Churu treats and recently discovered the joys of being a lap cat! He is turning four on March 26.

Story
I rehomed Fireball for a friend of mine at the time. I lived in a house that has a little bit of land and Fireball would be an inside/outside cat at the time. I had to move in with my parents about 2 years ago and he strictly began spending time as an inside cat. Where I am going now has another cat and we have unfortunately learned that Fireball doesn't do well with other cats in the home. He Is a very loving cat, he loves to cuddle. His purr is so loud and so comforting. He has a crazy overbite - but he doesn't have any issues eating or doing things a normal cat would do. He can be very playful. He loves to chase a laser light and play with toys. He gets along well with dogs. I have a Great Pyrenees that he doesn't seem to mind. Fireball is litter trained. He also eats just normal Friskies. He has eaten Rachel Ray food in the past. He loves a good treat, whether it be a normal cat treat, some wet food or even some milk. I am looking for a good home for him. He is very loving.

Story
I consider True my son. He enjoys a good mixture of nap time laziness and energetic play time. He’s stand offish to most people. I got him as a kitten from an old coworker when their then outside cat had a litter one winter. He will be 3 years old in November 2025. His shots are up to date and he is neutered. I’m rehoming him because I am shipping off to the army soon. I would prefer to have him fostered during my training time so that I can reunite with him by next year.

Story
Lulu was rescued from a rural trailer park almost a year ago. She turned out to be heavily pregnant, and she gave birth to the Willy Wonka litter almost immediately, once placed in a foster home. Now, her kittens have been adopted, and she has received veterinary care, and she’s ready to find her forever home! She’s estimated to be about 2-3 years old, and she’s sweet and playful. Ideally, we think Lulu would love to be an only pet. Lulu has been vaccinated and tested negative for FIV/FeLV. She’s also been spayed and microchipped. If you're located in Ohio, and you’re interested in meeting Lulu, please submit an application online via https://www.forgotten4paws.com/adopt-adoptform. Applicants can also request to foster-to-adopt (meaning a cat can be fostered on a trial basis before making a decision to adopt). If you have any questions, send an email to contactusforgotten4paws@yahoo.com.

Story
Morty was rescued as a kitten, along with his brothers, Hugo and Seymour. His brothers were adopted long ago, and now Morty is seeking an adoptive home! This poor guy was the most sensitive/shy kitten of the litter, and he’s a special cat that needs a special person. If you aren’t a good match or you aren’t able to adopt, please help by sharing this post! When Morty was first placed in his foster home, he was very scared. He would hide and hiss, and he was fearful of even just a hand reaching out toward him. With time and lots of lickable treats, he started making progress. Now, he approaches his foster mom, rubbing up against her, begging for attention. He’ll even purr, make biscuits, try to lick her head, and do eskimo kisses. Though Morty isn’t feral, he isn’t the most well socialized cat either. He has developed some trust and socialization skills, but he's still very leery of new people and sudden movements/noises. He's also not accustomed to being picked up, and he may never be a lap cat. However, it’s very apparent that he wants to be a companion, and we think he has the potential to blossom with someone that respects his pace and boundaries! Morty’s adopter needs to be a patient person that has a quiet home, without dogs or kids. His adopter will need to have experience with cats, and some experience with semi-feral or feral cats would be preferable. While Morty loves the company of some cats, note that his personality doesn't mesh well with all cats. He would do best in a home with a younger cat or kitten that has a friendly, easygoing, non-dominant personality. Morty is currently living in a foster home in the Columbus area, and this orange tabby kitty is estimated to be a little over a year old now. He’s a playful and active boy, with a long and lean body. He loves catnip, strings, and toys with balls. Some of his favorite activities are looking out the window and watching YouTube videos featuring birds, chipmunks, etc. Morty is healthy, and he’s been fully vetted - neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and tested for FeLV/FIV. If you’re located in Ohio, and you’re interested in possibly adopting Morty, submit an application via our website. Applicants can also request to foster-to-adopt (meaning a cat can be fostered on a trial basis before making a decision to adopt). Email us with any questions - contactusforgotten4paws@yahoo.com.

Story
Spencer was an owner surrender through no fault of his own -- his family was displaced due to a hurricane in the south, and came north to live with family. He is a beautiful, very fluffy 4 year old domestic long hair boy who will require some regular maintenance/brushing of his coat. He has lived with cats/dogs in the past, and got along well -- he will require proper acclimation to help him adjust to other pets in the home. Spencer enjoys people and attention, but doesn't love to be held. He did have a tail injury when he was young and has a little bald stub under his fluff -- definitely a shortened tail. All cats adopted through our rescue are age appropriately vaccinated including rabies & FVRCP/Feline Leukemia vaccines, dewormed & free of fleas, combo tested (negative unless otherwise noted), microchipped and spayed/neutered before adoptions are finalized. If you would like to adopt, please fill out the application through the link or the website at -www.whiskersofohio.org - please note that the "I'm interested" tab on Petfinder does NOT act as an application, this should only be used for specific questions before committing to an adoption. You will receive an email confirmation when your application goes through. We make no breed guarantees; we are a rescue, not a breeder. Please only apply for a specific kitten if you are committed to adopting! Our workers are all volunteers and it takes time to process applications. We are a registered, volunteer run 501c3 non-profit organization. Free transport is regularly available to Wayne/Holmes County areas! We do have the ability to fly a cat or pair of kittens via Southwest's SWATT program to any location served by Southwest Airlines. It isn't free but has been a great way to transport animals in a timely manner.

Story
Ginger was found with his brother Blake (featured in second picture). He is sweet and playful. He can be a talker at times which is so cute! He loves to play with his brother very much and sun bath. He has been an outside cat since I found them. He should finally be old enough to neuter. I didn't realize i would have them this long and cannot afford to do that unfortunately. My hope is that these boys can go to a loving home with an individual or a family that can afford to properly care for them and has more time to give, preferably together.

Ragdoll fun facts

Fun Facts:

Ragdolls get their name from the way their body so easily goes limp like a rag doll when they are held or relaxed.

The Ragdoll's founding breeder, Ann Baker, claimed that the founding cat of the breed, Josephine, was taken to a a secret laboratory where government testing influenced the kitten's appearance and personality.

The creation of the Ragdoll was fraught with controversy. Ann Baker made it incredibly difficult for other fanciers to contribute to the breed’s development, going so far as to trademark the name, litigate with breeders, and send wild letters to the media.
