Story
Bug is a 1 year old Rat Terrier weighing about 12lbs.  Bug came to us after being found as a stray about 9 months ago in New Mexico.  Nobody came for her and she was set for euthanasia at an overwhelmed shelter.   When Bug came to us we took her to get fixed as we do with every pup before adoption.  The clinic vet identified a murmur in Bugs heart and recommended getting it checked before putting her under.  Our Cardiologist discovered that Bug has a birth defect in her heart.  We have also started to realize that she may have a little bit of neuro irregularities.  She is a unique, adorable little girl to say the least.  Right now there is not much that can be done other than some daily meds she is on.  She is the sweetest girl in the whole world and this heart defect has turned everybody away from giving her a forever family.  She loves to play and snuggle up as close as possible with her foster dad.  Bug's future is uncertain right now.  She may live a looooong happy life, or her life may be cut short due to her heart.  There is no way to tell.  What we do know is that despite Bug being different she deserves all the love and a forever family of her own just like every dog does. Story
Meet Britany. She is a friendly and adorable young Rat Terrier Australian Shepherd mix puppy. She is around 6 months old and 12bs. Britany is a little difficult to figure out, we think she may be fully grown based on her teeth, she acts like a puppy but we dont expect her to get much bigger.  Britany is very shy, she gets very excited  but she actually wont approach you. If another dog jumps up at you, she'll do the same but run away as soon as you go to pet her. She'll take some time to warm up to you and will need some patience. Treats will do the trick.  Here is a video of Britany and her sister Doe:https://youtu.be/ZYeUXVF49Dw Britany ended up in a shelter in Kansas prior to her arrival into Colorado. We don't have any of her backstory. However, in her foster home, she has done well with other dogs, she doesn't have any accidents in the crate overnight, sleeps through the night, she is food motivated and isn't particularly vocal.  Britany currently lives with her foster in Denver, Colorado and an adoption meeting would happen at the fosters home. Britany is fully vaccinated, microchipped and spayed. Britany knows just how miraculous a turn her life has taken when she was picked out by Havok's Wolfpack and she is determined to live her new life to the fullest in the most playful and adventurous way, hopefully, with you. Her adoption fee is $600. To submit an adoption application for Britany , head over to our website:http://www.havokswolfpack.com/adopt/ or https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/18644/generic If your application is approved, we will contact you promptly. ##2253647##

Dolly is the cutest little pup! This girl will appreciate an upbeat adopter that helps her build confidence around new people and new places. She would likely enjoy another canine in her next home to help show her the ropes! At this time, HSBV is recommending a home with older or gentle children.

Story
Hi, my name is Charley Feeny and while I'm the happiest buddy now, before my Underdog days I had a pretty rough go of it. I used to have a loving mama, but one day she went away, and I found myself living with a person who did not like me very much. He was not feeding me or even letting me in from the cold. I wandered off and a nice lady found me. I showed her where I lived and she took me back, but the man said I was a stray and even though I barked and barked, he would not let me inside. The nice lady took me to a shelter. They said I was a hospice senior, and I that I was on the urgent rescue list. Fortunately, the staff really liked me, so they reached out to Underdogs, who sent a new mama to pick me up. My new foster home is so nice. There are other dogs to play with, I am allowed to curl up under the covers whenever I want to and there is lots of healthy food and treats to eat. She took me to the dog doc and she told her that I was neither neither a senior nor a hospice dog. I tried to tell everyone that, but apparently dog docs are more trustworthy. As it turns out, I am only about 6 years old and though not being fed regularly and neglected overall was hard on my kidneys, proper food and some medicine have been healing them nicely. I now weigh thirteen pounds and am looking perky and am the most handsome scruffy terrier and miniature poodle mix.  I love the fenced yard at my foster digs and I especially love going for walks in the morning. New foster mama put an open crate in the living room so I can go in there any time I need time to myself. I also like toys to play with. One weekend we had lots of company, including a 12-year-old girl and extra dogs. Mama said she was so proud of how I behaved.  She tells me that we are looking for my new forever family, someone that will take me for walks, feed me well, love me and help me feel secure again. She says that I will do best with adults and older children with dog experience. I love dog friends, but the kitties are not my most favorite.  If you're interested in adopting Charlie Feeny, please fill out an adoption application here: https://underdogsrescue.org/adopt-form/ Underdogs is a small volunteer-based animal rescue and we unfortunately do not have the resources to respond to phone and email inquires about our adoptable animals at this time. If you're interested in learning more or setting up a meeting with one of our animals, please complete an adoption application first. It may take up to two weeks for application review and one of our coordinators will reach out to you as soon as we are through the intitial review process. We appreciate your patience and understanding! Thank you!  ##2084570##

Story
Francis is a young adult Terrier mix weighing about 14lbs.  Francis was dumped at an overcrowded, high kill shelter in Texas when she was incredibly pregnant.  The stress of the situation forced her into labor within 24 hours of being in the shelter.  We were SO lucky that Fancis and all her puppie survived until we were able to get them to CO to our safe foster home. Francis has been an amazing Mom.  So many doggy Momma's never care about their puppies and don't have that loving demeanor but Momma Francis has been amazing since day one.  She LOVES her foster humans and wants to be with them as much as possible, but also cares so much about her babies and loves to check on them and take care of them as much as possible.  It shows just how sweet and loving she is with everything and everyone.  Francis loves to snuggle and play with toys.  She loves sunbathing and hanging out with the other adult puppies in the home.  She is just a good, super super sweet girl. She is also very easy going. If you are interested in adopting Francis, please fill out our adoption application at brighterdaysdogrescue.com ##2203192##
