Please contact Diane Pedulla (dianep@luckydoganimalrescue.org) for more information about this pet.Sweet Rat Terrier can't wait to race into your heart ANIKKA NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!!   Come meet Anikka and other great adoptable dogs this Saturday (July 13th) from 12-2 pm at the Dogma Bakery in Arlington (2772 S Arlington Mill Dr, Arlington, VA 22206)!   Name:   Anikka         Best Guess for Breed:   Rat Terrier mix    Best Guess for Age:   4 years as of June 2024       SEX:    female   Approximate Weight: 17.2 lbs.   Gets Along With:   other dogs and was friendly with the cat in her Foster’s home. Annika hasn't been seen with kids but we can test.   Currently Living at:  DC area foster home    Anikka is Looking For:   A home filled with love and fun! At 4 years old, Anikka wants to settle down for good and not have to wonder where her next meal will come from or how people will treat her. She may not be a bouncy puppy anymore but small terriers like Annika are known for remaining active well into their senor years. Don't look at the size of this little girl and think for a moment that she can't jump!   Rat terriers are smart dogs and considered among the easiest to train, which makes them loads of fun to have around. Small terriers do best in homes that can keep them busy. Daily walks, trips to the dog park or doggie daycare, neighborhood dogs to befriend, and people to enjoy their antics will make Annika happy. Indoor games like puzzle toys will provide mental stimulation and keep her from getting bored on rainy days. She made the trip to DC all the way from Texas just to find her forever family! What My Foster Says About Me: Anikka is a sweetheart! She napped on the couch with my cat and slept in her crate overnight. She did all her business outside the house and walks well on leash. Anikka gets a bit nervous around dogs who are much bigger than she is. Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.  All of our dogs are working on their crate training.  TO ADOPT:      The adoption fee for this dog is $460, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and transport from the shelter. If you are interested in adopting, please complete the Adoption Questionnaire online   at   bit.ly/adoptaluckydog  .   Lucky Dog Animal Rescue does our best to provide accurate information about the dogs we have for adoption.
