Story
Meet Norman!  This chihuahua/terrier is 2 years old and weighs 19 lbs.  Norman is a playful ball of energy just waiting to share his life with you! General Behavior: Norman is a sweet, affectionate and very loving boy. Likes & Dislikes: Norman loves to snuggle and likes to play with people and other pups. Training: Norman is good on car rides and has good basic manners.  He could use a little more practice on his leash walking. His previous owner described him as “incredibly intelligible”, so that will be a great benefit for any additional training. Medical:  Norman is a healthy guy and will just need his monthly heartworm and flea prevention. Other Animals: Norman does great with other playful dogs, so a house with another furry friend would be needed for Norman.  He has not been tested around cats, but his foster feels he may do better in a home without them. Children: Norman would be best suited in a home with older children (8 +) and teens. Home: Norman can be a little mischievous and has run out of doors when opened.  For that reason, special attention will be required.  So far, he has only been left alone in a secure area of the house for a few hours.  At night, he enjoys crashing in the “big people bed”.  Without another pup, he becomes anxious and howls, so another playful pup would lessen any anxiety.  He would also benefit from a new owner who is home more often than not. Grooming: No special grooming is needed for Norman other than routine bathing and nail trims. Overall: Norman would be a great addition if you have another pup for him to play with and are looking for a sweet boy to share your love with.  Interested in adopting Norman? Please visit our website, www.PoodleandPoochRescue.org where you will find the application to adopt. Norman’s adoption donation is $350. ##2060294##

Story
Bullet is a good boy. He was raised on a hobby farm, specifically to keep mice away. His owner unfortunately passed away and he was rehomed with family in Florida. He now lives in a suburban home with other dogs, cats, and many children. He loves his people and gets along great with everyone except the dogs. He has dominance issues and will urinate on things inside the home. His new owner also has chickens and his prey drive for small animals is high and will kill the chickens. They have tried many things to help but he just can't help himself. After killing the most recent chicken, bullet has to spend a lot of time in his kennel. We know he's a good boy and would have a great life in different circumstances, so we are trying to rehome him. He would do great in a home with kids and cats, but another dog could set off his dominance issues. He needs to be able to be let outside frequently, and have a house with no chickens or very small "prey" animals. He is very sweet and loving.
