Story
Benny is an incredibly sweet 8-year-old Rat Terrier mix who’s full of life and love. While he’s a total cuddle bug, he also likes keeping in shape. He enjoys outdoor time, especially taking long walks and running around in a fenced-in backyard. Benny was adopted by his current family and exhibited separation anxiety and guarding from the start, but otherwise did well. When another dog joined the household, Benny grew more anxious over his food and toys. This behavior creates a risk for young children, even though Benny loves people. The owners care deeply for Benny, but with a toddler in the family they’ve decided it’s best to find him a more suitable environment. Benny would be very happy as an only pet in an adult-only home. Ideally, he’d love being the center of attention with someone who stays home much of the day. He would love to enjoy all his toys in peace and not worry about his kibble getting stolen. In return, his new person will enjoy Benny’s devotion and affection.

Story
Meet Tina! She is a 1 year old rat terrier/heeler mix rescued with her mom, sister and younger siblings after being dumped in a bad area of town. She is very submissive and a little shy at first but wants she warms up she loves belly rubs! She get's that from her mom! She is great with other dogs of all sizes but prefers medium and small dogs. The bigger dogs make her a little nervous. She is working on leash walking, potty training and crate training. She is currently 23 lbs with long legs. She is just a sweet girl looking for love and a place to lounge around! Tammy is available for adoption with Saving Grace Dog Rescue of San Antonio. The adoption fee is $195 local or $395 out of state with transport. An adoption application and adoption contract are all required. All dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations appropriate for their age, microchipped, and wormed for internal and external parasites. If you would like more information please email us at sgdrsa@outlook.com. An adoption application can be completed online at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/SGDR/Dog Please note that visual breed identification in rescue dogs is unreliable so for most of our dogs we are only GUESSING at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.
