Story
Tiny Tim is a 13 lb., 10-year-old chihuahua/rat terrier mix looking for a home with someone there most of the day. He has a sweet little smile and bounces around the house jumping from recliner to recliner trying to find the best window view. Sweet Tiny Tim thought all was lost when he found himself in the custody of animal control and separated from his fur sister, who got adopted before him. He was placed on a euthanasia list and was cowering and depressed until he was saved by a rescue organization and finally put into a foster home with New Rattitude.   Life has been looking much better since coming into foster and he has blossomed and become happy again. After a slow introduction, he gets along fine with his canine foster siblings. Has not been introduced to cats or kids. Tiny loves to be loved! He will snuggle up with you in a chair or under the covers in bed, and lays his head on his human's chest when picked up.  He is very smart and knows many commands. He's so well behaved too: he's fully house-trained, he doesn't try to escape, no digging, no chewing or getting into the garbage. He does cry and bark when left at home and doesn't like being crated. After a rough and trying time, Tiny Tim now has his bounce back in his step and is a bundle of joy and love. He just needs someone to help him keep the good times going. So, if you are looking for a small, well-behaved little friend, Tiny is for you!  Beginning March 1, 2025, our adoption fee is $250 for adult dogs or $300 for puppies under 6 months old. If you are interested in adopting this dog, PLEASE READ THE DETAILED ADOPTION PROCESS information on our website at www. NewRattitude.org/adopt/  From there, you can access our adoption application or contact our Adoption Team for more info. February 23, 2025, 6:23 pm

Story
Mackenzie is a very playful, loving little girl. She’s house trained and loves her toys. Mackenzie loves to chew so I keep bones around at all times. She is crate trained and at times, goes to it without being told. She is unique in a sense that she has a cropped tail that does not go side to side but up and down. I got her from Capital Area Humane Society in November 2024 as a friend for my Pit mix. Mackenzie turned 1 in December so she has a very young spirit which my other bigger dog does not like so much. I want the very best for Mackenzie and want her to have a loving home that she will be safe in and will embrace her spunky personality. I will provide her cage and CAHS original paperwork showing her shot records and when she was neutered.

Story
Shimmer Shimmer is a Female Smooth coat Terrier mix DOB: March 6th, 2024 Adoption fee: $100.00 I am not a fit for a first-time adopter, unless you have experience with pups which have grown up in a shelter setting. I was a shy pup when I arrived and never had the opportunity to blossom in a home environment. I will be nervous in a home and will need time to decompress and adapt. I am small to medium size weighing less than 30 pounds. I should do well with another dog as long as the dog is not a pushy/in your face personality. I walk well on a leash but will require a physically fenced yard. I am very interested in having a relationship with someone. I love the staff members and give them lots of kisses daily. I am available for adoption, foster, or foster with intent to adopt.
