Story
All interested people should submit an adoption application as their first step. Hi, my name is Max! I'm a spunky 3-year-old Rat Terrier mix weighing in at 20 pounds. I've almost mastered the art of being housebroken, and I'm proud to say I'm non-destructive when my humans are away. You'll find me cozied up in my crate or dog bed, enjoying some quiet time when I’m not playing with my toys. I'm always up for a good game of fetch or tug-of-war. My favorite pastime is hunting in the yard, so my ideal home would have a yard that is fenced in. I'm a social butterfly when it comes to other dogs and cats, and I absolutely thrive on affection from my human pals. I prefer to have my humans around as much as possible! I'm always eager for our next adventure together! If I sound like a great match for you, apply to meet me today!   All pets adopted from GDHS are spayed or neutered, have vaccinations brought up to date, are on heartworm preventative (dogs), FIV/FELV tested (cats) and microchipped. The Greater Derry Humane Society does not have a physical shelter, and all visits are by appointment only. July 14, 2024, 4:35 pm

Story
Meet Tina! She is a 1 year old rat terrier/heeler mix rescued with her mom, sister and younger siblings after being dumped in a bad area of town. She is very submissive and a little shy at first but wants she warms up she loves belly rubs! She get's that from her mom! She is great with other dogs of all sizes but prefers medium and small dogs. The bigger dogs make her a little nervous. She is working on leash walking, potty training and crate training. She is currently 23 lbs with long legs. She is just a sweet girl looking for love and a place to lounge around! Tammy is available for adoption with Saving Grace Dog Rescue of San Antonio. The adoption fee is $195 local or $395 out of state with transport. An adoption application and adoption contract are all required. All dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations appropriate for their age, microchipped, and wormed for internal and external parasites. If you would like more information please email us at sgdrsa@outlook.com. An adoption application can be completed online at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/SGDR/Dog Please note that visual breed identification in rescue dogs is unreliable so for most of our dogs we are only GUESSING at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.
